    Arrggghhh, bur, bur, bur...:wall::wall:

    Don't mind me just my usual Thursday brain-numbing happening a day early this week.

    Regulars, who bother to read my drivel, will know I go to my Dads on a Thursday, do his shopping and housework etc.

    This week, DH and DS1 have to pull an all nighter at work on Thursday, hence the day early at Dads.

    I got back home, sat down with a cuppa, 'phone rings, Dad says 'can't undo my top shirt button'. To be fair he has RA in his fingers, but he insisted I do it up this morning and put his tie on.

    Anyways, I drive the 4 1/2 miles back to his, to find he cut off the button with a pair of scissors. :mad::mad:

    I am soooo tired, but I could summon up the energy to staple his tie to the table..(while he's wearing it).:o

    Dippypud Have you left him like that?:rotfl::rotfl:

    greenbee I hope you feel better soon. Maybe not drive to parents? ((hugs))

    I have spent most of today cleaning the cooker. It is almost there. It wasn't really bad but I was determined to have it clean again. Pizza droppings on the floor are the most difficult to remove. I left it to soak overnight :)

    Well, I'm jiggered, have only just sat back down from the HHC I went off on with Pigpen! Anyway, today I have done this;

    DW x 2, WM x 4, TD x 3, Airer x 1, shampoo'd the LR, stairs, landing, hallway, 2 bedroom carpets and 6 dining chairs. Scrubbed the bathroom and toilet, binbag fling, washed all the bins, sorted bathroom cabinet, 2 x school run, made 3 square meals, done 4 hours of paid work and a partridge in a pear tree.

    I'll see you all in the morning

    Mel x

    PS - hugs to folks with bullied DD/DS's - we've had our fair share but the one that made me cry buckets was school ringing to say DS1 had been involved in bullying another child, apparently he had been burping and blowing it in the other boy's face (they are 12), I was SO disappointed...

    Sending safe-journey vibes and hope you have lots of fun!

    Have done the DW and decluttered a take-away, and that's about it. Working now, and I really do need an early night tonight. I can't get out of bed in the mornings.

    I'll be home earlier tomorrow, so I'll try again then. Hope everyone is ok.

    I've only just stopped as well.. and I still haven't caught up on the laundry.. and I have a 4th lot of dishes to run through the DW though the kitchen is gleaming! I've filled half a wheelie bin!

    And burping in someone elses face isn't bullying it is just silly typical immature behaviour for a boy of 12.. it is rude and gross but a bit wet of the school to say it is bullying.. unless of course he does this at every opportunity. My 12 year old randomly does it to the others and they either pretend to break wind on him, do it back or blow a raspberry in his face so spattering him with saliva.. Come to think of it, my 19 year old does it too.. it may just be a stupid of any age boy thing .. it amuses them! I do try to discourage it.

    I cannot find the list of ingredients DS3 needs for baking tomorrow.. they are making a crumble judging by the stuff on the list.. roughly what size oven dish will he need for 400g of fruit?

    I know it included 50g butter, 400g fruit, sugar and flour.. lol

    Knowing the size of your family Pigpen I would doubt you have a small enough pie dish... I certainly don't:p

    Been to see friend's physio husband. I have bad inflamation of the IT Band muscles and need lots of diclofenac sodium, massage and an expensive steroid injection into my knee:(

    *It was part of a bigger issue and fortunately, this was the only part that DS1 had in it, but I was still very upset, DS2 said it was the first time he had seen me cry and DS1 must have been worried because he apologised to me without being told off and went and found the teacher who rang and then the pupil and apologised the next day without being asked*

    Be-R* says 50g butter, 100g SR flour and 50g sugar to 400g fruit and I find a dish that will hold 2 pints saves any bubbling over and spilling on the oven bottom.

    ETA; DH is in Ireland so I'm taking advantage and am away to my bed early, night night, sleep tight all.

    Phew just sat down. Late tonight didn't realise what time it was. Been to see DDad this morning, still in a lot of pain but says it isn't as bad now bruising is coming out. Went shopping for him and post office. Not sure if i posted this earlier. Put new glass in woodburner door. DGC went at t.time. Kids out at friends for tea so went to see DMum at care home early, rang Dad so Mum could talk to him, they are missing each other as Dad goes twice every day, OH checked on Dad and sorted TV cabinet out as a replacement TV is coming tomorrow. Football started when kids had been dropped off so put clean bedding on, polished, Vac'ed and wiped paintwork in 3 bedrooms and landing and stairs after tidying DD3 room again, cleaned bathroom and toilet, tiles and floors, then sprayed a mould killer on tiles OMG THE SMELL:eek: Didn't send kids to bed till 9 it smelt like concentrated chlorine and bleach, never used it before and not sure if i will again, it worked though and got rid of pink on tiles and most of tiny bits of mould in corner of window grout that i have never been able to get rid off. Oldstyle ideas for keeping pink grout and mould specs please:) WM on and DW on and now chilling with chocolate.
    Hugs to all, spoons and sticks as well.
