Good news - not only did I declutter 3.5 pounds at Slimming World last night ( I was dead chuffed!) I also won the weekly raffle. For 2X50p strips of raffle ticketsI won a copy of the magazine and all the ingredients to one of the meals in it!!!! Included in my win were 2 steaks, parma ham and some asparagus.........

That's a great loss - well done. I've stayed the same but expected it this week. Congrats on winning your shopping at the same time - very MSE:D

Also, I'm thinking of painting our hallway in the next few weeks. It will be being done in a couple of years, but a coat of white till then would really buck me up and shouldn't cost a lot....worth doing?

Do it! It'll look fab and brighten the place up. Ours has got some damp this winter for the first time (north-facing wall) so it needs it too. It's also got loads of glossing (7 doors, skirting, window frame, stairs) to do but it will be worth it - it looks great with a bit of sun! I'll need to leave it til the weather improves because the front door needs to be open to air it.

Hope everyone's having a good enough day today x

.............................. ...it's the glory of the ride!
  • Back after an hour weeding - and boy! am I cold!!! The sun went in about half an hour after I started and a rather chilly breeze got up. Nice to be indoors again. I'm off to have a shower; then lunch, clear up the kitchen and paperwork, I think. See you all later.

Oh - and I have thrown away my (really and disgustingly) skanky dishcloths this morning, and put fresh ones out. (That's the cleaning bit!)

Ours is cold and damp....but I don't see why it should continue to be dismal! There's lots of wood work in ours, but I thought I've leave that till the proper do over in a few years.

we're having loads of structural work done...and having decided to start work at the other end of the house I thought the temp measur would be good until then. :) Definitely a spring job though!

    Afternoon all

I've done all the bedrooms today, two loads of washing out on the line. Also polished in the living room and the computer desk and vacuumed right through downstairs.

Deadheaded my hydrangea in the front garden and swept up and then did some general tidying/sweeping up in the back garden.

Hope everyone's OK, still catching up.

Got more done today so far than I thought I would which is lovely - working up to windows though! Blimey, just starting flying this week has made so much difference to both my house and my happiness - a real sense of wanting to do house stuff, rather feeling I've got to do it and putting it off - so thank you for the encouragement. Am so pleased that as well as doing the list, I'm encouraged to keep the area I've 'done' tidy as I go, rather than leaving stuff to build up until it's a real job - this way I'm not really noticing the small stuff as a chore anymore.

Flying wise, I've decluttered yesterday's left over bean crumble for lunch and am waiting for lady from CBT to call me for our weekly chat. Got a bag of stuff to drop off at charity shop when I walk Pip; going to a nice wood with her this afternoon :)
