My other half has just got the 18 month 0% from applying through the link posted here last week. Just sent the form with his signature in the post and card should be with him in next 7-10 days.

I received the letter giving me the 18 months interest free on a balance transfer, no credit limit given at the moment but I applied to transfer a balance of £1900 online.

Hopefully I may be able to balance transfer another couple of small balances.

I have also applied to transfer £2300 on the online application, but now due to buying a brand new car would like to do another £4200.
Has anybody got an idea if that is possible? Seeing as they will not let you into there little secret of the credit limit that they are going to give you!
Might have to ring the cust services in the morning and have a good laugh :)

Just been on the phone to chase up Cap 1 about my application for the 18 month deal.
Turns out I`ve been accepted for the SIX month one which I promptly told them to stick up their a*s*.
They tried to make out that any application made from a third party website link, i.e. MSE ,was unauthorised and the 18 month was by invitation only.
I also told them to remove their search from the two credit reference agencies, which they promised to.
It is also true that they expect you to sign the CC agreement before they tell you your limit.
I said to them it`s like going into a car showroom and buying a car without knowing the price `til after you sign for it and drive it away.
I said that I had never heard of any CC company that did things that way and expected people to sign blind not knowing their limit.
Cap 1 is an american company, enough said.

I posted the above on the other thread yesterday.
If I had`nt phoned them up and the agreement had reached me to sign and did`nt show my limit I would have thrown it in the dustbin anyway.
You can call it sour grapes if you like but I`m truly amazed that people are signing up blindly without knowing their limit.
How this so called company can get away with this baffles me.

For me it is a case of 'nothing ventured, nothing gained'. Having had a credit search done, I may aswell follow through and see what I get. If they give me £7000 over 18 months, I can as earn as much stoozing interest on that as I could on £21000 over 6 months. My last Capital One card had a limit of £20,000. If they give me that limit again, I shall make £1,500 on the card before tax.

    Well worth a go at.

In my experience, there are a quite a few card companies who don't tell you your limit until you sign the form. I agree that it is annoying.

I've had no luck with getting hold of the invites from the mags and missed the boat with the web link so If anyone's got a spare app form I'd really appreciate it. Thanks
