  • Hi LAM, does feel good to close MINT as the interest was ridiculous, i transferred the balance to a 0% so although i still have the debt at least it is only that to clear & not a shedload of interest.
Anyway, off to garden to visit my chooks, hope yours are enjoying a dustbath in the sun!

  • Thanks Abba, it is a start in clearing the debts by not having a mass of interest to pay.
Been a NSD, walked the dog to & from school, done yet more ironing, had a potter in the garden so all of that never cost a penny :j
Simple tea of egg & chips for tea , then a soak in the bath ready to settle down to watch Masterchef (even though the new format is more like X factor & annoying!)
Hope you all too have had a NSD.

  • Have not used my car for 2 days and expect not to today aswell. Diesel is soooo expensive and i use the car for such short journeys that it uses even more fuel. The sunshine is such an incentive and the kids are enjoying walking to school. Poor dog looks knackered though!
Going to sort through my wardrobe and put away some of my winter woolies, they are so chunky it takes up alot of space.
Think another NSD or at least a LSD is on the horizon ;)

Well done MC..that's great news on the NSDs and LSDs..I have been good over last few days but on other hand OH has had to pay for car service and some groceries so not a NSD by my book. Neither if us can spend anything at all for a NSD....an all too infrequent occurrence I am afraid so well done you!

    Have a good eve

  • Another morning of walking to school but not sure i can keep it up if the weather turns bad! Sat in the garden with a book yesterday while the chickens wandered around for worms, felt a little guilty for sitting doing nothing in the day as i am usually doing chores- daft to feel like that.

Meeting a freind in the coffee shop soon, have not seen her for a few weeks so will have alot to chat about.

Hope you all having a good day.

  • My cheque from MINT arrived at the weekend- £6.32 ! So i paid that into the bank, a tiny morsel chipped off the OD :)

The satisfaction i got from cutting up the MINT CC was great, i am ignoring the fact that i still have the debt as it is on a 0% CC and i have a DD to the repayments each month, paying over the minimum so i will have that paid off in 16 months :)

Was very organised this morning and cooked a load of mince, onions, tomatoes etc. enough to make this evening tea- cottage pie, wed- spag bol, & hoping for Thurs too, maybe lasagne.

Hope you all having a good day.

Hey MC, Ace news about the Mint card finally being gone! :j You should update your signature now you can finally cross it off :)

    X
    Parents - £4000/£0 paid
    OH parents - £9000/£0 paid

    Mortgage - £125,000/£0 overpayments
  • Thanks Deeperblue, cannot cross MINT off my signature yet as will feel a fraud, the debt is still there, only now with BARCLAYCARD on a 0% CC.

Spent too much today, had a much needed haircut, visited a friend who is poorly & bought her a bunch of flowers, had to pay DS sports club bill, needed a few bits at Co-op so i am £52 down . None of it could be helped though.
