How much left before you pay off your aunty?
That will be a good feeling once that is done and then you will have some extra funds to pay off the overdraft.
You are doing really well even if it doesn't feel like it at the moment, keep at it0 -
Hi Jox, Still owe my aunt about £4000, so cannot begin to think about paying off my OD.
Hi Abba, i do feel really low but do not want to see my doctor, as do not want to start medication, my freind has depression & is on anti depressants but i am nowhere as low as her, she does not know why she is depressed, i am just low & fed up of constantly being in debt. I just need to kick myself up the bum & get sorting the mess i got myself into, i only have myself to blame.05/03/14 £15,980 0n 2 CCs

just talking to a doctor might help and if you don't want to go down the medication route i'm sure there are alternative therapies you could try x x x
chin up hun you're not alone, so if you need to get something off your chest get it down in your dairy and we'll all listen (((((((hugs)))))))NEXT TARGET: Halifax credit card DEC 22 £0 / £4499.12POAMAYC 2011 £6378.35 POAMAYC 2012 £5000.78POAMAYC 2013 £3480.04 POAMAYC 2014 £4085.14POAMAYC 2015 £7565.24 POAMAYC 2016 £8000.90 POAMAYC 2017 £7278.80 POAMAYC 2018 £13208.18POAMAYC 2019 £13309.28 POAMAYC 2020 £15026.050 -
Worked last night so slept for a few hours today, woke by someone ringing the doorbell at mid day and could not get back to sleep following
Now have the biggest headache. Got caught in a shower on the way to get the DC from school
Have decided to pay my 20p pieces into the bank, need to add them up but i think there must be nearly £40 saved, it will be a dent in the overdraft (all be it a very small one ) and i think it will make me feel like i am getting somewhere. Cannot see the point of saving in one place when i have an ever increasing OD haunting me.
DC have had baked spuds for tea with a can of tuna and lots of salad, i had a bowl of cereal, all nice and cheap.
Have 2 nights off work until i am in again so hope to catch up on the worlds biggest ironing pile tomorrow, have put it off for days, just have no incentive lately but if i do not do it, it does not get done.05/03/14 £15,980 0n 2 CCs

The fact that you have a jar full of 20ps and can pay some of it off your overdraft is a huge improvement on things. Its taken you years to get into debt. Its going to take you years to get out of debt. It takes even longer to get out of debt and still have some semblance of a life at the same time. Getting depressed won't change things.Instead of feeling low about things try seeing the positives:
1 - are you in any more debt than you were when you started the diary? Everyone has ups and downs and unpredicted bills which mean a short blip in debt busting. Just because you have one bad month doesn't mean the next one will be.
2 - are you and yours happy and healthy?
3 - are you doing something to make you smile every day because you're worth it god damn it woman!
You have to remember that theres more to life than debt busting! Its a long hard slog but its made easier if theres something fun to look forward to each and every day even if its only a bath in a clean bathroom thats totally and utterly free of small children and their toys.. unless of course you actually like sharing your bath with small children.... whilst its nice once in a while theres a reason the bathroom door lock was invented!Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -
Hi Moo, Thank you for your support, i am annoyed with myself getting low for no reason. Your words have made me think, i have been in a cycle of debt for almost 20 years and i reckon to be debt free in aprox 3 years so that is a positive.
I caught up with the chores today, walked the dog through the woods, popped to Asda (£28) stripped the beds and still managed to sit with a cuppa and read a few chapters of my book.05/03/14 £15,980 0n 2 CCs

Off to one of those loose coin machines too convert my 20ps, have emptied a dusty moneybox that i have been throwing coppers into for months too, so think it easier to chuck it all in and see how much i get.05/03/14 £15,980 0n 2 CCs

Had a very easy (and tasty) tea of egg & chips
Boiled a few extra spuds to treat the chooks as a way of saying thanks for the delicious eggs.
