Today i finally went to a very long overdue visit to the dentist, no phopia just a phobia to the charges :rotfl: Needed a filling so £47 less in my purse :(

Had to pay the wheelie bin cleaner £26, but thats for a year of cleaning and worth every penny !! Do not envy them that job.

Working tonight, the DC want stir fry for tea and i will make do with a bowl of soup as need to protect my precious filling !

dentists are really expensive, its like owning a car having teeth. They get older and need more work!

Hi Skint, shift was soooo busy but done now. Have had a sleep whilst DC were at school.

Have chicken for tea tonight, popped it in slow cooker this morning so it falls to pieces, really tender and i seem to get more meat from cooking it this way, will serve with salad and cold pasta.

My day off tomorrow, have a hot date with 4 piles of bed linen and a washing machine ;)

  • Thats the kind of hot date I seem to have!! Slow cookers are fantastic, I get the really cheap lamb neck cuts brown them in a pan, make up a red wine (1.50 a bottle in lidl) and redcurrant gravy and add it to the slow cooker, and it tastes fantastic.

The dogs then get the lamb bones.

I also like to do a curry with cheap meat in the slow cooker. Might make one up tonight and freeze portions!!

Do you get lamb neck cuts from butchers ? only i never noticed them in supermarkets. I tend to buy lamb shanks but these are not so cheap, your lamb sounds lush with red wine & redcurrant.

3 beds washed and re-made just one more to do but have stopped for a tea break, had to use tumble dryer as raining so heavy. Chooks not happy in the rain so threw them a handful of grapes to cheer them up.

Intended on gardening today-well, cutting the grass then sitting with a cuppa watching the chooks free range- but, it is raining so heavy :( So have resorted to tidying out my wardrobe, wish i had not started.

Been a LSD, just spent £6.45 on vegetables as have enough beef in the freezer which was left from a huge joint i got on offer a few weeks ago.

Sat and watched Matilda with the DC and glass of cold wine (for me! DC had Doctor Peppa- £1 for 2 litres from Morrisons :) ) most relaxing, do love that film and watching DS jump at the scary bits :rotfl:

  • HI MC

The lamb neck I get is from Mr S, value range, with the orange label.

I managed to get my grass cut as our weather held, and as for the decluttering, its a good job jobbed!!!

NIce you hadsome time with the kids, we watched that G force movie the other day, its very odd but the kids loved it!!
