ah savage that is cute. what is my excuse though? i havent had a baby before and have had a big belly anyway, but the way i feel, it is showing more if i stand sideways, and family members (brothers etc) say they are noticing it. I am just 11 weeks. eek!

SAvage, interesting, i weigh myself last week and still am the same weight pre pregnancy, that's it !.

rups, My whole mtabolism changed after DD, i used to eat whatever i wanted and never put a pound on, i so miss the old days ! Now i have to be more careful with food and given that i have no nausea or anything i get quite hungry and can really eat absolutely anything.

i know its scary isnt it? my belly feels bloated now and am restless at work right now. ;( also got those weird right side pains.

ohh i found the 10 micrograms vitamin d tablets at tescos so started them yesterday. it might be a bit too late but oh well. it was vitamin d right? lol

i am so bored at work today. i have loads to do but all i can think about now is food and getting home ok.

Not a happy bunny this afternoon - load of concrete about to arrive and as I can't get hold of my good for nothing father or husband I'm going to end up laying it myself with the driver. Argh, and it's p**ing down with rain.

please dont do anything physical. you just have to be careful. just wait for someone to come and dont go out in the rain. surely it can wait!!!

I have been lurking but not posted so thought I'd do an update on me.

Not even sure if I told you about my booking in? Well, I sobbed all over the MW and she was lovely, said she'd try and get me involved with the Poppy team for people with mental health issues (I have depression) so I'd get extra care.

On Saturday I had an appointment with a different MW who is actually my proper one from my surgery. She was quite brisk, sympathetic but, well, brisk is the best word. She was a little bit 'pull yourself together' which I didn;t really appreciate but she did talk to me for 45 mins and said I need to see my GP ref my depression which has been brought on by this pregnancy because I'm so scared.

She gave me quite a pep talk about getting happy about being pregnant (which so far I haven;t been, not this time) and about expecting the best rather than the worst.

She cannot give me any scans but she will see me weekly, so we booked the next two visits in, and I felt a lot better afterwards because - finally - I felt someone in the NHS was in my corner.

I've definitely felt a lot better since I saw her, which is great, and as I am 8 weeks tomorrow I should see her three or four times more before my scan, after which I hope I will feel OK. I next see her a week today.

My symptoms still come and go, sometimes sick, sometimes sore boobs, always exhausted though, that one doesn;t go away. I did POAS today and it came up immediately with a line which is always nice

So that's me. Hope everyone else is doing well.

Yay skintchick for nice midwives! Really glad that you are getting more support. You sound so much more positive in your post - keep that PMA up - ergugh, sorry, didnt' mean to sound so American! It's just I reckon there's a lot to be said for positive thinking.

Rups - you make me chuckle cos I can tell when you're bored at work - you post like nobodies business and it's often stuff that makes me smile!

Well, good job I did tell my Dad about pg cos I was there yesterday going "i'll be fine, it's not that heavy" and Dad rang a friend who came out to help instead of me. Said friend arrive and said "so, is there a reason you're not laying concrete today". Not at all says I, just being a useless girl who's not strong enough to lift the screeder.

Not sure I got away with it!

Got a stinking cold and so much to do this week it's untrue.
