the one pg symptom I've had up till now is waking at 5am ...
Isn't nausea supposed to dampen your appetite though? I've been soooo hungry it s untrue and eaten sooo much.
I was also waking up early (that's gone now, at 16 weeks); and as for the nausea I found while I didn't throw up particularly much the only thing that staved off the nausea was eating. Until I was so full I felt queasy because of that! Honestly, can't win!

I'm on a diet. A cheesecake diet. It seems that it's about all I can eat at the moment. That's going to be interesting at work tomorrow when I pull out a cheesecake at my desk and start tucking in! I wonder how many people will guess?

I'm really trying to keep sipping fluids, but nothing really appeals, and some drinks make me heave.

Still, it's not as bad as Friday when a little bit of sick came out of my nose

Sorry to hear your news anmarj :(

Please remember to all keep doing your pelvic floor exercises.

    Evening ladies,

Anmarj- so so sorry for your loss, be gentle on yourselves for the next wee while.

I am having a bit of a nightmare weekend, my DD is 7 and has managed to avoid the chicken pox despite practically her whole class having it in nursery and being around various friends with it since. The day before I got my BFP we were at a BBQ at a neighbours house and one little boy was covered in them- although still running around having a great time!! Anyway I didn't think anythig of it, was still in the "it's better if she gets them younger" frame of mind but I thought she'd been exposed so often that she was maybe just naturally immune- or had caught the virus without the spots in the past.

Ok after that ramble I'm sure you all see where i'm going!! Woke up yesterday and she was feeling miserable with a few spots, today there are loads, bless her she's just getting on with it and loving the fact she'll have a week off school!

So chicken pox in pregnancy, not at all a good idea o be exposed to, I have had them so in theory should be immune but apparently 15% of u's can have had them and catch them again. It's really not good for a developing baby. I am 7+3 today. My best friend is pregnant- 28 weeks and her doc would not test her for immunity and told her just to stay away from confirmed cases but I'm really hoping he doc will test me as I obviously can't stay away from DD!! If they find you are not immune and they can treat with immuglobulin- similar treatment to if you are rhesus negative. It hopefully won't come to that but it would just put my mind at rest knowing having had the chicken pox has definately given me immunity.

Goodness there's always something to worry about!! Apologies for my long message! Off to watch- and cry at- the last ever desperate housewives!!

    Xx

morning ladies... not a good start to the week! :( got to work at 10 thanks for the transport problems and rain!! grrr

hope you are ok minted.have you asked the doc about it? you are right about not prob getting it but some unlucky people have had it twice. :-( i am sure its ok hon. try and not stress. hugs

I had such a bad nights sleep. DH has a cold so his breathing was keeping me up and then he was tossing and turning. sigh. i then had such a horrid dream!!! i dreamt of my late sister again and this time, she was so upset that i was pregnant. i remember the dream being full of just bad thoughts and being sad. when she was alive, she said it wasnt fair that i would have the life she couldnt have. i felt bad in the dream and even had to tell her of the pain of my miscarriage. :( what is wrong with me?

i woke up distressed and then DH was grumpy as he said i was moaning to him about sleeping so we had an argument before he went to work. Coming to work was a nightmare so i am just tired. am trying not to stress. :( little one doesnt need it right? sigh....im sick of this rain too.

Hugs Rups - I remember having some horrible dreams in early pregnancy, and they were so vivid that they seemed real - I nearly woke up crying once as one dream upset me so much. Hope you get a better night's sleep tonight and that work goes quickly.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

rups - I totally understand how the dream will have made you feel.

I was the 'Queen of Crazy Dreams' before pregnant and they were so vivid I sometimes used to think it was real for hours when I woke up! These include: Best friend mudering my dad, OH having an affair with a good friend, OH dying of a stroke, OH dying following attack protecting me from a burglar and parents dying in horrific car crash. As nobody is in when I wake up I have to phone OH to find out the truth (which drives him nuts as he is working) becuase my dreams are so vivid and factual I am never sure :( Even then i'm still grumpy for at least a day and OH has to work really hard to cheer me up - it's like I go into a mini depression over them lol...

Since I have been pregnant they have gone from vivid and possible to vivid and impossible so easier to know they aren't true.. e.g I doubt I did slay a dragon in my kitchen last night! But even so I still wake up feeling down :(

My only suggestion to you is to leave a note on your bedside table next to the alarm saying 'it was just a dream' or something similar so you can try to snap out of it straight away xxx
