morning all.
skintchick, thank god you got to chat to someone who is a bit more sympathetic (even though brisk). hopefully seeing the gp and chatting about it more will help too.
ladym, hope you are doing well on the other thread. i was thinking of you this morning and saw you had posted.
zcrat, thank god you got some help. just take no risks at all. even when DH asked me if i wanted to mow the stupid garden lawn, i said no! hehe. i know i can go a bit mad posting on here. i just feel so comfy posting stuff (even though it becomes more like a daily diary). hope you girls don't mind.
am totally football-ed out now as been watching the Euro matches with hubby. had some minor pains here and there and STILL feel nauseous and tired. oh well hey? bring it all on, if it means we get our healthy babies.
ok i will go and work now. lovely weather! not!

Unfortunately I can't get out of grass cutting - we have a full on sit on lawn mower jobby so it's actually one of the better jobs on the farm!
Am I right in thinking I shouldn't be taking anything for this cold? A lemsip would go down a treat today.
Rups - long may your daily diary continue!0 -

Together with paracetamol (fine) and caffeine (fine in small/moderate doses) Lemsip also contains phenylephrine which is not recommended in pregnancy.
I'd avoid personally, particularly in the first trimester. Make your own with honey, lemon, hot water and soluble paracetamol and follow it with half a cup of coffee."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
Thanks Zcrat!
yep i am bored again. i think its just the wintery weather and i just dont want to work, even though have LOADS to get on with. I will end up annoying clients at this rate.
I think you are allowed lemsip but double check. anything with paracetamol is allowed. NOT ibuprofen or aspirin or those night nurse type things. so if you have sore throat/headache, take paracetamol and the hot water with lemon and honey. also my mum's traditional way of gargling with warm salty water helps. i hate that one too but they do help. get well soon. xBecame Mrs H on the 1st of October 2011!!

how weird fluff. the stupid GP told me lemsip was ok as it has paracetamol. thank god i didnt buy it as in the past the taste just makes me throw it back out! paracetamol is def the safest and dont go over the daily dose.Became Mrs H on the 1st of October 2011!!

... But equally, if you have a temperature, take enough paracetamol to keep it down. I had a horrible viral thing and sinus infection when I was about 8 weeks, and my temperature shot up to 101F. I saw the dr and said I was taking paracet but not much. She told me off and said that the reason that the dosage was given as two tablets is because it's perfectly safe to take two tablets, and I needed to take that much to get control of my symptoms.0

Thanks people. It's not too bad really - it's just a cold. Although I do seem to get quite bad ones with streaming eyes.
Think I'll try and avoid and try and persuade my boss that an afternoon in bed will be just the ticket!0 -
sorry to have a rant, but i am so annoyed now. i am just trying to find a dress for a wedding this weekend, but whatever i look at, is gone.
i liked two dresses in next and i need a bigger size for sure, so no point spending loads. aghhh. its annoying the hell out of me! any ideas where to get reasonable dresses from please?

Hi Rups, not sure if it would be any good for you but i got a few nice dresses from Yours. Its a dress shop for the larger woman (not maternity) but I find that the top bit fits over my enlarged breasts and because they sell mainly maxi dresses it also fits over the bump without making me look like a big round ball of flab. I actually have a figure in it.Overdraft = £1000 Emergency fund = £2500

Thanks Kittenpie. the thing is that i have left it too late as need it by Thursday, as we drive off to Wales on Saturday. I wanted to buy it nearer the time in case my size drastically changed and now i just cant find anything. have to try it too, so online ordering might be out of the question now.
was looking at Debenhams and thought might just pop in there and find something. i hope i do and something not too expensive. can;t use anything i have at home because its all tight now. meh. thank you though. i will def buy for future from Yours.
