Hi all, and happy shrove Tuesday.
I've been lurking a little while, but need saving from my own insanity so just need to rationalise if that's okay?
I'm sorry to see some sad news, but hope everyone will be back soon. RWB, I'm so sorry to read about Felix, he was beautiful and I'm sure watching over you now making sure this little bump is perfect.
Myself, I am 11 weeks tomorrow, and have turned into a paranoid wreck that I'm going to go to my first scan on the 18th and there be nothing there. It's the internets fault for this paranoia and reading about missed miscarriages!
I've got/had most of the symptoms, but rather be happy when one goes for a little while, I'm convinced that it's all going wrong! I'm normally a very rational person, so this feeling is driving me insane!
I've not had any bleeding or cramps so I know there is nothing to worry about. I just know I'll feel better after next week and I can see that little beanie.
Anyway, I'm sorry for fretting. I'm going to keep posting here so that I can get myself through the next 10 sleeps.
Looking forward to sharing the experience with you all.

Evening all

I too phoned the local maternity unit this morning to chase up my booking in - my midwife has been on holiday for a fortnight. She is back in work on Friday, and sent me a text this afternoon to say she's requested a scan date for me which I will get in the post, and my booking in appointment is Friday at 10.30am :j I know booking in is nothing really to get excited about but it just feels like I'm getting somewhere now.
9 weeks today for me, feeling a bit nervous as this is when I started bleeding with my first m/c. Had lost most of my symptoms at that point though, so I'm hoping the fact that I still have sore bangers, am weeing for England, and could sleep for a year are all good signs. Fingers crossed! PMA! I wish everyone on this board a happy and healthy pregnancy. xxx
So sorry to read this and for your loss. Take care of yourself hun xx0 -

Hi to katyw - dont worry about fretting lots of people on here have felt the way you have including myself lol
pigpen and rwb - i agree if they were my children i would pick them up but it is part of my job so in the same way you would prob think twice about picking up a heavy box in an office i sometimes think twice about constantly picking up an 18 month old when they are capable of walking. I dont think i sm feeble just concerned about myself and baby and stress on my back.
Hope everyone is feeling well.

Hula - I wasn't for a moment suggesting you were feeble, Im sorry if this is how it came across. I didn't mean to offend at all.
So early on I personally wouldn't be concerned about moving anything I would have done before I was pregnant. You're right, when I get to 30/35 weeks I will be asking the OH to take the bin out if it is particularly heavy (although thats mainly because I am lazy) but perhaps that is just me.
Apologies again if I offended anyone0 -
Rwb you didnt offend, i didnt mean my message to come across like you had. I have enough trouble trying phrase stuff sometimes let alone when i try to do it late at night when i am exhausted lol. Sorry if i made you think that.
Look after yourself. X0 -
Hello ladies, I am 8 weeks today by my date. I have a private scan this afternoon and I am freaking out just a little bit.
Sorry you are depressed Pigpen. It is a bit of an emotional rollercoaster!
IamJen, the picking up thing is not actually because lifting is dangerous for the baby, but because your ligaments go all loose and stretchy during pregnancy. Therefore if it doesn't actually hurt, you are fine. I have been lifting ds and he is six! :rotfl:
I am excited about telling him today if all is well. We will take him out for dinner and make it a celebration.
Have a great day everyone xTotal Original Debt: £30404.24
