Yes i've had this at 17 weeks now. More so the past week. I had diahwoowoo on Monday and then not been again til today! The wind, the pain, the lot :( I guess it's triggered my IBS too. Trying to relax and take things slow.

Thanks ladies. I don't (or didn't have) IBS. But I keep getting the worst wind ever and it's pretty painful - no rhyme or reason to it. And I've had the runs a couple of times...which is why when I get the feeling I dare not leave the house. It's starting to grate on me now though (feel quite bad moaning about it).

Roll on booking in appointment (FINALLY). I'm 9+4 at the minute.

Anyone else get the feeling like they are going to get diawoo woo, but then don't actually have diawoo woo? I keep getting it and it's most unpleasant.

im another with the same feeling, and an IBS sufferer (although ive been free for years from any symptoms)

Ive had it on and off all week, a real twinge in the lower centre of my belly like diawoo cramps. I feel so out of sorts, but im sure it will pass soon !

  • Sa-ra, thanks for letting us know. I hope you and hubby are able to take as much time as you need, as well as get the tests. I'm so sorry, and I hope you'll be on here soon to tell us a success story.

Kittenpie, gummybear is such a sweet nickname, i wish i was that imaginative. I also cried when they showed us and i have no history like you but really thought that i was going to get news like sa-ra.

    Hi everyone,

Sararara - I'm so sorry for your lose, its the worse feeling in the world. Fingers crossed the tests go ok.

I'm 5+1 and not really feeling anything yet. My Health Authority wont even take your call till your 6 weeks and then last time got my appointment about 7+3 . I really very happy but very worried at the same time, i will bring this up when i ring them. I'm not expecting a early scan as i know this wont happen, i just need some reassurance, i really dont think i could cope with a MC again.

    Morning

Snowy- Why don't you think you will get an early scan? I saw my doctor yesterday (I'm 5+5) and I was expecting a battle about getting an early scan but she was lovely and agreed straight away without hesitation really. I was so surprised.
It is definitely worth asking. I think mine will be sometime late next week hopefully, or possibly the week after.

I feel just the same as you. I don't have any symptoms at all and the further it goes the more I feel I just don't know how I would cope with a MC again, but we need to be positive! The odds are in our favour :)

Sa-ra-ra-ra I'm so, so sorry to hear your news. I can't even begin to imagine what you are going through right now but my thoughts are with you.
  • Hi Ladies,

When are you planning on telling work that your pg? I don't know when to - they are going to be looking at next years timetables very soon and I won't be there but don't want to tell them too early.

    Thanks

It would depend on how close my relationship with my boss was. If I considered them a friend, I'd find no barrier to telling them early. I know people worry about MC but, tbh, I'd probably want some support from a few select people at work anyway if I miscarried, so I wouldn't let this stop me telling people. There are other reasons you might want to tell work early - do you have to do anything physical, like lifting? Do you need to tell your boss if you need time off for medical appointments?

Other than that, I'd wait until it became obvious! By about 18 weeks or so, you can't really hide your bump any more. After your 12 week scan is a good point to let it be generally known you're pregnant. I actually took redundancy shortly before falling pregnant so it wasn't an issue for me, but had I been at work, I'd have struggled to hide it, even in the early days because I was puking about 5 times a day!

Legally you have to tell your employer by 25 weeks (or strictly speaking, at least 15 weeks before your due date).
