Thanks. Next one is Saturday then the dating scan is 6th March. I'll be almost 13 weeks because I asked them to move it back a week. I know it won't make any difference to the outcome but psychologically it will make me feel better to be past 12 weeks :o

These are the 2 I'm most worried about because last time I had my first bleed at 11 weeks had the scan at 11+1 all fine then further bleeding at 12+ and scan at 13+3 showed Alex had died at 11+3 :(
I'm trying to think rationally and positively about it and 99% of the time it works. It's just scary sometimes :o

I understand what you mean, with Aaron, the GP sent me for my scan at 9 weeks, even though I told her there was no way I was near 12 weeks, and when I went, they didn't want me to come back for another, but I forced the issue and it was about 13 weeks, when I got another scan.

I admire you and how positively you're being :) but it's true that worrying won't change anything. Pregnancy is just one big roller coaster I think. I had no reason to believe anything bad would happen, but I always had that feeling in the pit of my stomach, and even at 36 weeks pregnant, couldn't shake it off. Even now he's here I worry about everything, every single little grunt or noise, which is stupid, and then when he's making no noise, I have to practically dangle myself into his crib, to make sure he's breathing :o Suppose it's just human nature?

Keeping my fingers crossed for you emsbet - 6th March is my Mum's birthday, so hopefully it'll be a lovely day for you too.

Had a nice day yesterday where I didn't feel sick at all! I visited a friend I've not seen since July last year, and her two little girls - can't believe how much they've grown!

However, I woke up feeling fine today, and I'm now feeling a bit sicky again. Think I should probably go and eat something as this may be the problem, although I did have a couple of ginger nut biscuits before I had my shower earlier. Tummy seems to be constantly growling at the moment, whether I've eaten or not, and the other morning, I was lying in bed, and thought someone was having trouble starting their car - it was my tummy!

I've also now got a yucky taste in my mouth all the time, so not sure if this is the pregancy dysgeusia (sp?) or linked to my re-use of zineryt for my skin - seem to remember getting a nasty taste in my mouth last time I used it.

Anyway, enough moaning - I'd better go and find some food - what to have?

Hugs to all who need or want them.

Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

  • Glad to hear from you emsbet :T Fingers crossed for you for this time

Now... I’m 5 weeks and 6 days today and suffering horrendously with morning sickness…. I say morning sickness, I actually mean, morning, afternoon, evening and night time sickness.

The only time I don’t seem to feel sick is when I’m eating, but at the minute that’s the last thing I want to do

I’ve got ginger biscuits by my bed, and it genuinely took me from 4.20am till 7am to eat one this morning. I had heard dry biscuits would help, particularly eating them about 15 mins before I get out of bed but its made no difference today. OH is driving me mad as he wanted to have sex last night with it being Valentines but by the time I got to bed I was shakey and cold and felt so sick we didn't so he got in a bit of a huff with me :(

Is anyone else suffering. What has worked for you?

You have just described my own early pregnancy (apart from the bit about OH wanting sex - he's far too lazy to bother with that!).

What worked for me? Nothing tbh, my love. Just time. Eating little and often was probably a bit of a help, but I still vomited maybe 2 to 8 times a day and felt constantly nauseous, cold and ill. I also drank a lot of full-fat coke. Not sure if it had any medicinal value but it certainly made me happy :)

    Feel great now though!

  • Ahhhh oh good :o

I didn't feel so bad about it until someone told me it could last up to another 10 weeks  I think I'll be dead by then. Well maybe not.... but I can be dramatic dammit, I'm pregnant!

Will try the coke though thanks - will try ANYTHING at the minute!

Just had to comment......OMG you have a 12 stone dog?! What on earth is it?!

Saw all the comments about being scared about how you'll cope. One thing I do is think about other people that i know who have babies. I'm pretty sure most people will know someone who has had a baby who you'd never have expected to cope but actually managed fine. I try not to think about the specifics of HOW I'll cope, I've never had a baby so until it arrives I have no idea what will happen, what it will be like so I just have to wait and see and I'll deal with it when the bump finally turns into a baby!
