Just a quick question, by lmp i am 6 + 5 but by my own dates due to opk's i know im 6 weeks exactly. Will the midwife put me down on the 6 + 5 dates till my scan and they do measurements and move me back 5 days? xxYou never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Hi Ikkle, that is what I have had previously. They date you from your lp even when you say you know the date you ovulated. It will then change at the scan. When I had the scan and the date changed by almost two weeks they looked at me for reassurance until I said that I had unreliable periods and these fitted my dates.Overdraft = £1000 Emergency fund = £2500

It will go on LMP first. At your first scan (the dating scan) you'll be given a definitive date that's highly unlikely to change. This is calculated on the baby's size. The further on you go, the less relevant your date of ovulation will feel. I know absolutely when my baby was conceived because it was IVF - the dates don't take much account of this though! It was first calculated on LMP, then size at the dating scan. It's just the way it's done."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0

Maddie - don't worry about a lack of symptoms - I was speaking to someone the other day who had PCOS, and didn't know she was pregnant until she was 4 months pregnant, and never got any symptoms at all!Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

Hey Ikkle,
I had the same thing yesterday - because my cycles are 7weeks long the doctor put me down as 7w + 3, whereas according to my ovulation date I made me 4w + 3 yesterday. I am looking at it as a positive as it means I will hopefully get my scan 3 weeks earlier than I might have done if they went by ov date.
I am thinking of getting one of those maternity pillows as I am usually a front sleeper so will have to change this at some point plus I have bad shoulders at the moment (which I would usually just take ibuprofen to sort it) and found that hugging DH's pillow was the only way to get comfortable last night. Anyone seen any cheap ones? Became Mrs W in 2011:smileyhea Blessed with Baby boy 1 in 2013, Baby boy 2 in 2016 and Baby boy 3 in 2018 :smileyheaDebt @ 19/8/11 [STRIKE]£20,060 [/STRIKE] current £0Paid off 100% :dance:0 -

Aww how sweet moneypuddle! I've not had anything for Valentine's Day yet - don't know if I will, as Moon says he's not got me anything.
I got him some Milk Mice chocolates from Aldi, as he calls me Mouse, and I know he likes them. I won't be eating any of them, due to my chocolate aversion at the moment.

That's so sweet money puddle!
I'm not expecting anything from DH as he says V day is just a big money spinner and he will not be forced into showing affection because someone tells him to! lol
In other news, I booked a private scan this morning. It's for 3/3 and I'll be 7w+6.
Had some tuggy pains today, but I think it's normal. No sore boobs at all !!
I am still debating whether to tell my Mum & Sister. I would want the support if anything happened but I just don't want them to be upset if they don't have to be. Argh!
Hope you are all well?

Hey all, wondered if you can give me some advice. My OH is really worried about me eating Brie.
All the information I have found states that it is bad to eat unpasteurised cheese in pregnancy however the Brie we have found is made from pasteurised cows milk and was the only one without a warning for pregnancy.
Would you eat it?Overdraft = £1000 Emergency fund = £2500
