That's great T-Sil I've only done the 1 digi and that was at 14dpo and it said 1-2 weeks. Probably too late to do another one now :(

I haven't been around much the last few days or so. It was my mother in laws funeral on Friday and it's been really hard.

Pregnancy wise I'm 6 weeks today I have heartburn and wee a lot and my boobs are huge and sore and I have permenantly erect nipples. I have midwife next Monday. I'm excited scared and nervous.

Good luck to all who have scans this week x

  • ikkle,

I'm pleased to see you're still posting. Was so sorry to hear about your MIL on other thread, hope the send off was as special as she was to your OH. Like you say, you think she knew about the incoming LO so I'm sure the rest of the family will be pleased whenever they do hear. Good luck with midwife.

Walby, I'm sure I read recently you were having to delay ttc?! Glad to see your LO has a sense of humour!! Good luck with all the new symptoms and I hope it doesn't get too bad moneywise. We are feeling the pinch already and thats without all the list of things to buy. preloved and ebay will be my friend!

Welcome to all others too. I am going to post on the 12-24 weeks today and scared, eek! Still going to be on here though as still first trimester plus I want to see how things go with all on that list, especially emsbet, kittenpie, sexymouse and ikkle. You are all my favourites though and have kept me so sane, thank you :D

Good luck on the "grown up thread". Seems a long way off until I'll be on there. Left a message with the midwife to arrange my booking in appointment with her today -she's on leave until Monday (must have children as it's half term). Was sick again today, and I've been recording everything in my diary. So far I've been sick, had 2 days of not being sick, then sick again, so looks like Thursday morning's going to be fun if it keeps on the same way. :o

I'm meant to be going food shopping today - have put it off for a couple of days, but have no energy today. I've run out of ginger beer though, so needs must. I think I'm going to watch neighbours, and then go.

Hugs to all who need or want them.

Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

  • Thanks to all for your welcome.

Student_Mrs, yes we were going to delay TTC after DH was made redundant but he has not been out of work since and has guarranteed work for another 6 weeks at least plus he has been earning more as he has done weekend work. We going to be careful moneywise anyway - I have already been looking on ebay at second-hand cots etc lol.

When did everyone first start having symptoms? I am 4 + 3 and feel absolutely the same. I want to feel pg so I can believe it!

Got my appointment with the doctor today - exciting stuff!

Will be thinking of you on Thursday Kitten-Pie.

  • Does ginger beer work to settle you sexymouse ? I tried ginger ale but that just made me burp - not nice !

OH is going to try and get some ginger sweets but we dont have a Holland & Barrett so will have to see what his local health shop has.

I dont see my midwife till next wednesday when I'm 9+3, then will have another looooong wait till the scan at 12 ish weeks ? wont get a date for that till the week before. Weeks are dragging now !

:j good luck at the docs, dont be surprised if its your quickest appt ever though ;)

I started it feel symptoms pretty much from 5 weeks, just minor things like cramps, stretching and a tiny bit of nausea bouts at random times in the day.

The ginger beer does seem to help me - one of the problems I have is also trapped wind, so if it does make me burp, although it sounds gross, it does relieve this a bit too.

  • Ladies… I’m terrified .. petrified…. just beyond scared today. Please help. Is this normal? I feel in an absolute state of panic and don’t know where to turn. :(

I’m 26 and I’m 5 weeks and 4 days and I think its just hit me that me that I am going to be having a baby.

I just feel frozen with fear.

    How will I cope?
Will I be a good mum? What if I’m not?
    Will we cope financially?
How will a baby fit into our day to day routine
How will I juggle work and pregnancy and work and a baby?
Will this mean I am tied to the house forever?
Will I ever be able to go out and see friends?
I’m terrified of telling my boss at work and of how stressful its going to be to train someone new up to take on my job
I’m scared of being seen as a ‘mother’ and not an individual or a young woman anymore
I’m scared of feeling cut off once I have the baby and am not going to work each day
I’m scared that my baby won’t like me, and we won’t get on
I’m nervous that the endless crying will drive me insane

I know this all seems crazy because my OH and I planned our baby but it did come as a real shock that it happened immediately (first or second time) – We were only trying since the start of Jan.

I’ve been to the doctors this morning and they have confirmed my midwife appointment two weeks today. I am so scared, and feeling so sick at the minute that I can’t even put things to the back of my mind.

Since I found out, I have spent maybe one day excited and the rest of the time just terrified, weepy and sick. I don’t think I’m going to cope :o

TBH I hated all my 1st trimester! I was full of those fears - esp the will I be a good mum and what will I do if I can't stop it crying fears!!! I wasn't excited at all as I was too scared. Since I had the scan and the sickness and stuff has let up I can finally enjoy it. And get to plan and I can feel tap tap tapping and wiggling. How can I not love it! We'll be fine. Women have coped for centuries :-D
