  • Oh I got loads of headaches at the beginning and it really used to grind me down.
Least it is Friday and you will be able to chill now for the weekend and pamper yourself.
Your scan will soon come round before you know it.

I can really understand why you feel you can't relax and enjoy things yet.

But I've read all your posts about your dates and I'm convinced you've just misunderstood how pregnancy dates are calculated. As soon as you find out you're pregnant you'll usually be at least four weeks gone in terms of how it's dated even though realistically you won't have conceived more than two weeks ago (at the most).

Plus babies vary in size and this can adjust your dates by a week or so either way. If you're still getting pregnancy symptoms then chances are your baby's growing quite happily and your scan on the 15th(?) will be nothing but good news :)

Thanks fluffnutter.. i know i know,, shouldnt be negative but already am questioning if i am 9 weeks? i shouldnt. like i said the headache, and fatigue is just making me think more stupidly. :)

am trying. honest. :) and you know whatever is meant to happen will happen. so have to just look after myself and we try and eat well and rest. MW said i must have sleep esp if i am tired. complained about the hubby a bit that he wakes me up lol
well ok here is a start then!! I am 9 week + 2 then. yay! :)

today i dont feel that queasy but i know yesterday my bbs were so sore as n kungfu i couldnt even jog around.. ouch.. the tiredness is a symptom i suppose and maybe when i am queasy? so yeah symptoms are still there.. :)
xxx thanks so much . you are all very sweet esp as i am going on.

Morning all. I hope you are all well.

I went to see my doctor this morning to get myself booked in for my six week scan at the hospital. It's now booked for Monday 23rd at 9am. It also turned out that my are have changed the way they do things slightly and instead of waiting until 10 weeks for the midwife to see you, she now sees you as soon as possible. So I have that booked for the day after the scan, at 11am.

So for the next week or so I'm going to try not to thing about anything and just relax (as much as I can ;))

Just about to give the spa to find out which treatments I can have tomorrow.

    xx

I wouldn't have thought you can have any. I have booked a mother to be one on 14th Feb and was told to bring maternity notes to verify over the 12 weeks mark.....just read you had already found that out when you rang to enquire.

i asked the MW today about treatments and dying my hair as my hair looks horrible and she said as long as i ask the person at the hair dressers, and they seem to know what they are talking about, it should be ok as long as its not too chemical u know?

i asked abotu facials and massages as i feel i badly need one..:(

  • My MW booking appointment went well yesterday -- so much to take in though! I'm going to see a MW alternately with my GP for appointments. She didn't seem worried when I told her about the bleeding and she didn't tell me off for not ringing either. She did give me lots of info and phone numbers though so I feel more confident to call if I have any other problems. My 12 week scan is in 2 weeks time, and she booked me in for my 16 week appointment, which is when we should hear baby's heartbeat! Had a blood test as well.

As I have been off my dinners, I felt like I had a small victory last night -- I cooked dinner! From scratch! And I ate all of it! It did take me ages to get through it all though. I read somewhere that one lady was getting by eating cold sort of dinners, and I think I can relate to that, I'm enjoying the odd slice of cold pizza much better than when it's hot! Feeling rough this afternoon at work. One lady I work with suggested the reason I get my morning sickness in the afternoon is cos of the time difference -- we conceived in Cuba! Oh well, not long to go til home time, then I'll curl up on the sofa. OH STILL decorating the spare room, it's taken over 2 weeks now! Hope he won't want me to cook dinner again, I have some microwaveable mash potato just in case!

Go to the kitchen - get some virgin olive oil/sunflower oil - put a tad in a bowl and take it upstairs. Get hubby to sit on bed the you inbetween his legs (fnar fnar) :rotfl:on your back with your face in his lap (not that way round:p) and get him to give you a face massage. Even if its just fluffy fiddling around with you stuff. It's nice for you, nice for him to feel he is helping you in some way and nice for both of you as a bonding time :) Well that's what we do and i always get the "whilst your down there" comment ... :eek:lolol.
