I'm showing already at not quite 12 weeks (1st pregnancy) and have been for a while. We've started telling people since having the scan yesterday and a few people have commented that they had been wondering as they'd noticed by tummy had grown! Told work today too and my Boss was lovely and said she'll help me out wherever I need. I also said I won't be driving to work (30 miles each way on little windy country roads) if we get snow and said I'd happily take the days off unpaid, she said thats fine and 'we'll sort it out'. There's one job I'm not alowed to do.....happy with that as its the one I hate doing!!

    Hi all,

I'm just wondering if anyone is 'showing' yet? With my first pregnancy, I didn't show until I was at least 4.5 months gone and my female boss hadn't realised I was pregnant when I announced it at 5.5 months gone.

This time round, we're about 6 weeks in and I 'look' pregnant in my opinion. My belly is definitely rounded, no amount of breathing in will hide it and I've not put weight on anywhere else.

    Is this unusual???!!
I am huge and im only 11+1 they say because I have had so many pregnancies i will grow quicker i dont know why

Yes I said to Oh tonight thaat no-one is going to be surprised when we tell them we are expecting Last time I was out of my skinnies at 5 weeks, but no real bump till later but this time people keep looking at my tummy and I know they know.

I believe subsequent pregnancies show sooner cos our muscles have all been stretched to b00gery already :p:D

My difficulty is finding tops to wear that don;t show the bump without looking obviously like maternity wear. It's still a long way to my scan and being able to tell people but I'll be huge by then! I'm in my maternity trousers already.

to be fair, i was never in skinnies, I am a big girl so already had a bit of a belly. but now i am clearly pregnant, its quite annoting when people ask when im due and are supprised when i say next year, they think i am more 20-25 weeks than less than 12.

well we are moving on saturday so if DH dosent pull his finger out then he is in for a verry late night on friday because there is no way i am doing it all myself wile he sits and watches youtube. everything at the other side is now sorted i just need to get the gas put on.

I am not small either. I have been brave enough to wear trousers to work today. Ok, the bigger size, as the ones i was wearing 4 weeks ago still wouldn't fit. But - my weight is doing. When I went to SW meeting on Monday, I was 78kg, and this morning the scales showed 76.7kg! And - my fingers got smaller. My wedding ring keeps falling off, and the engagement ring that I couldn't wear for a long time as it was too tight, now is on the right hand and is a bit loose as well!

I woke up with the strange feeling of being 'empty' this morning. I hope all is well. I didn't have any bleed or anything, it is just the feeling that came over me as soon as I woke up.

Waiting for the scan date - doctor promised to call today.

And MIL asked OH if she can call me - we don't get along very well, and OH is away. I said it is ok, as long as it is before 9pm (I am dead in bed) and after 7pm, as I have acupuncture tonight.

The empty feeling comes and goes, in most cases its your mind playing tricks on you, i know this sounds a bit daft, but every time i go to the toilet i am almost expecting a bleed, this week is usually the week if anything happens it does, im glad i have the move to take my mind off it but its not nice, i just want to get to 13 weeks so i can relax a bit. i keep forgetting to take my asprin and folic acid. i looked at the packet and have missed like five days, i need to try harder to make sure i am taking them, i dont want my blood to clot and my body to reject the baby. omg its half eight already, time to get the kids to school, shout at the carpet man (for fitting the wrong carpet) and find out about free prescriptions,am i right in thinking they are free in pregnancy?
  • Morning ladies :)

    TMI:

Had a bit of a scare last night so have had hardly any sleep :o OH and I got a bit carried away with a snuggle and I had some slight bleeding after, not bright red coloured, more of a light pink - anyway, after I couldn't sleep so was downstairs googling away at 3am - turns out it's quite normal as the cervix is easily aggravated at this stage :o

It had stopped by this morning and have had no pain so am not overly worried now, just tired :o

Am going to buy first maternity bra at weekend as my b00bs are killing me :rotfl: Have been looking at maternity bundles on ebay too - there seem to be some good bargains on there :)

Hope all ok and sorry for the TMI :A

Hey guys, still another week and a half til my scan and I know what you mean ginvtz about the strange feelings, I've regained my appetite and the heartburn and nausea is on the wane at 11+2, although the midwife said 10 weeks+ is the time to stop worrying I just have this strange nagging feeling that's got me on edge.

Jovichick, I've had that experience and it's perfectly normal x

    Hi ladies

I know what you mean about worrying. As I've had two miscarriages I know I won;t relax until the scan, even though we had an early scan, a friend of mine had a baby who died between early and 12-week scan, so for a MW to say 10 weeks is when to stop worrying is daft. My last miscarriage was at 10 weeks but baby had died at 6, you just don't know.

Having said that, if you have no history of losing babies you are most likely fine.

I had my booking-in today, I never understand why it takes an hour, such a waste of time. Can't ring to book my scan for another week as have to allow time for my notes to get to the hospital. I've opted for another home birth and at least this time I didn;t get a lecture about it!

Am 9 weeks today so hopefully will be out of danger and able to tell people in 3 weeks! :D Feels within reach now.
