Congrats on your ten weeks lovecrafting! I'll be 10 weeks on Friday.
Its great ticking off the weeks - I can't wait to tell everyone - I'm sure they'll all be delighted and surprised that it happened so quickly - OH and I only married in July!
I can't agree with your choice of celebration though! I find Jeremy Kyle one of the most horrible creatures on this earth!

Can I join you?...
We found out I am pregnant last week, after our second trial of IVF. We have been ttc for 4 years, and it just doesn't feel real.
I would be 4 weeks 5 days today, I think. I have no symptoms, boobs are as normal, and I am having AF type cramps/pains. Since this is IVF baby, we would be getting week 7 scan at the clinic, and I am eagerly waiting for a doctor to call me to arrange it...
I know, it is very early, and anything still can happen, but we did tell our parents (they knew we were going through IVF), and I have told my boss as well (he also knew I was going through IVF and I had quite a bit time off, as well as OHSS last week).
So, I guess - the question is, how to make myself believe? I did yet another test this morning (clearblue digital), and it came up with 'pregnant 3+', so it put me a bit ahead of what I should be. But it still doesn't stick in my mind.Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
3+ would mean 5+ so it's about right if you think you're 5 weeks today.

Thanks. 5 weeks would be on Wednesday, I think ( that is when egg collection was).
I don't want to do anything either. I would love to be at home and just rest, but I have to be at work! (and actually work!)Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -

Even if I couldn;t get her heartbeat, because she was breech and always ran away from the doppler lol, I could listen to my placenta whooshing, or the kicks she was making, so I liked it and found it reassuring, and when I could ifnd the heartbeat it was a nice bonus.
I think if you know that it is hard to find the heartbeat, then you wont worry so much. You can listen to everything else!
Bit too early to use a home doppler yet though, think it is more like 16 weeks when you can get something on a home one.
Hi, it came on Saturday, and amazingly after about 5 minutes if that we found it, was the most anazing experience ever and has really made me relax enough that now I cannot wait for our 12 week scan on Thursday - completely excited now.
And, I should just add, I am a very very plus size lady, and it still worked!!! Deffo recommend it! xMarried the Man of my dreams 30/08/2008Baby No.1 arrived 04/04/2012, gorgeous little girl after 4 years of fertility issues!!:j:T0 -

ohh i wish i was at work, i was signed off 15 weeks ago when i first found out about the baby and am suposed to be on complete bed rest until 14 weeks (i am only ten weeks but we lost one and then got pregnant again, i am good at getting pregnant not so good at staying that way)0 -
Could you ladies recommend a pregnancy book? I have reserved a couple at library to see which one I prefer before buying, but would like some suggestions (I think I asked for 'what to expect when you're expecting' and 'your pregnancy bible').
Also - has anyone got a book for 'father to be'? I would like to get one for my husband.Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
i found the nhs book they give you at the midwife apointment really good, and also (some places dont hand it out anymore like our midwives because it promotes bottle feeding) emma's diary was good. I wanted dr browns book, but never did mange to find it when i was pregnant with dd2.
for your OH how about the haynes manual, its entetaining but informative, my DH has the attention span of a goldfish but he managed to read it.0
