  • Wow, loads to catch up on! Love it! :D

Had my doctor's appointment today. Filled in a form for free prescriptions, and he sent a referral to the midwife. He told me that he'd recommend to the midwife that I had a scan ASAP but reckons it'll be around 2 weeks time, when I'll be 9ish weeks. That's fine with me really, as the further on I am, the more we'll see. He said he's going to share my antenatal care with the midwife and a consultant due to my age :o but that's fine with me. The more people looking after me, the better in my book! He also said that if I have any bleeding, to phone the surgery and he'll refer me for a scan straight away. He said I should hear from the midwife in about a weeks time.

Still haven't told anyone apart from all of you & a few work colleagues - just want to get that scan out of the way. Not long now :)

Hi ladies. The scan was wonderful, i got to see the heartbeat and squid was really active which the sonographer said was good. We have 4 pictures and they were all lovely. I have been told today that i have to go under consultant care but i suppose if they think that it's best to do that then that's what we have to do. I am now moving over the the 12-24 week thread so good luck to all you lovely ladies and your bumps and i'll see you all soon on the new thread!

    Hi everyone
I am hoping that someone can give me some reassurance. I have been having stomach ache all day all over my lower abdominal, it does not feel like cramping just uncomfortable.
I have no bleeding or spotting, is this normal ? If so what could it be and how long could it last.
I have been having nausesa, tiredness and sore boobs since last week, which are all still there.
    I am really worried now.
    xx

Hi Hulagirl, I can totally understand how you're feeling but I have come to understand (through the help of our forum friends) that these aches and pains and cramps are all a normal part of pregnancy. I have been worried sick about them but feeling a lot better now after chatting to others and realising it's all part of the stretching and growing process. Scary stuff though isn't it. Hope you feel better soon x
  • Has taken me all evening to read through today's thread!! Can't remember who said what now but all very interesting, I love reading through, thanks for all the tips and updates. Hope your beans are all growing well. Off to bed for me or I'll never make it through work tomorrow!! Night x
