  • aww... lovely scan pic twi1ight I'm 10 weeks yesterday/today so can imagine baby now thank you (OH doesn't like to call it bean or anything else as 'that's just weird' - such a pragmatic soul) Hopefully its beginning to sink in now - we even had a lengthy baby name talk on journey home last night :D)

Had my booking in appointment today which took 3 hours with travel as it was the other end of town but just about got away with it at work.

Blood pressure all good and generally no risk criteria (except for genetic issues)... all so normal that I've been asked to join a research group as a control pregnancy for pre-eclampsia diagnosis trial.

Only two weeks till my scan now :j

(Also going next week to meet genetic team to discuss OH's carrier gene tests for SIL's condition - also means I get to have an obstetrician in case rather than just midwife care though I'm trying to keep pregnancy medical free as much as possible)

In other exciting news our best man had his baby arrive last week and we're going to see them on Sunday to meet Sebastian and hopefully get wise to baby reality.... 2 weeks old

Got to go - hoping everyone is well and ms and other symptoms not getting you down. Hoping to tell in-laws tonight as OH felt bad that they don't know yet having had a whole 'baby-centic' weekend at my mum's this weekend. Hope OH gets home in time for their usual phonecall or I'll have to tell them instead which is not how it should be

    hugs to all
    team yellow :)
Can't wait to meet you now baby!

Wow! I logged on this morning and there was nothing and now there's too much to catch up on. ;)

Thanks for the helpful comments on buying a pushchair/pram. Makes it real to think about buying 'grown up' official things like that! Ha! :D

My symptoms just to add to what everyone else is saying were definitely tender b o o b s and tiredness. The tiredness is one that has continued massively. I sleep, sleep and sleep some more. I'm a teacher so half term has come at an amazing time for me. :o

Sickness comes and goes, I'm nauseous in the morning and any time that I'm hungry. I was sick in the shower this morning (ergh!!) which was my worst moment. Other than that it's only been dry wretching unless I've eaten anything remotely orangey when I've been very sick!
Wandered away from the MSE track for a while but am back and on a mission! Debts cleared nearly £18k. Now to start saving ...
  • Evening all!

    Big hugs to Bella xx

Not much to report here other than overwhelming tiredness! I'm 5+5 today and have a doctors appointment on Wednesday evening.
I'm delighted that they do evening appointments as it's one less thing to take time off work for.
We told our parents at the weekend and they are all thrilled. It's nice not feeling guilty any more - I felt like I was keeping something from my mum and I'm sure she was worried about how tired I am so I wanted to tell the parents before she guessed!
I'm not sure it will seem real though until the scan.

Anyway, I'm off to get my tea and probably another early night xx

bambywamby, least i not the only one who is in denial.lol.

i think i'm finding it hard to believe becuase last baby it took hubby and i over a yr to fall, this one i came off pill in oct and i was preg begin of dec. really didn't think it would happen so quick. but i guess it meant to be. my dd took about 2 months, ds1 took 1 month( well i say 1 month i didn't have a period after coming off pill, so it was very quick. but after last one being so long we thought we had a while before i would fall as were both older etc.

i'm sure it will sink in when my belly is huge and it a boiling hot day and i struggling, lol.

Don't say that!!! I will cry.. I had DD on 4th August 3 weeks early.. I had SPD, kidney failure and liver problems, I was anaemic had water and uterine infection and thrush.. and I hated the world and everything on it...

This is a REALLY bad idea.. I am having second thoughts again now :(:(:(:(

  • Hi everyone
I am hoping that someone can give me some reassurance. I have been having stomach ache all day all over my lower abdominal, it does not feel like cramping just uncomfortable.
I have no bleeding or spotting, is this normal ? If so what could it be and how long could it last.
I have been having nausesa, tiredness and sore boobs since last week, which are all still there.
    I am really worried now.
    xx

hulagirl It's just your uterus stretching...you will have to get used to it Im afraid, I found it felt a bit like period pain which made me paranoid but honestly it's nothing to worry about.

Very normal... if it is the left side it may be associated with constipation. .. It goes about 3 days after the baby arrives!!

You get those anyway.. they are just more pronounced when bf.. I found they went after a couple of days too though.

Right now.. I don't have the patience either

*to illustrate the point screams up the stairs 'get in your bloody beds NOW!!!'*
