I'm sure your DH will be delighted Pigpen and he'll be well practised ready for the next one.

As for indicators of gender I seem to have about a 50/50 split so who knows what I'm having! In your experience is there an old wives tale or easy test that has been the most accurate?

i'd love a big family. i'm only on 4th now, but feel i may only be able to have 1 more after this, due to having sections. hubby very easy going and would welcome any number i'm very lucky. but it horrible knowing my body can't get labour right.

as for metal taste, omg i've had that the whole time. still there nothign shifts it. it is either easing or i'm just getting used to it now. drinks taste vile and foods just taste weird. but funnily i dont' seem to link this to being preg, even tho so many have it as a symptom of being preg.

I have 6 girls and 3 boys but I was convinced the last one was a boy but she isn't.. I did however crave sweet stuff with girls and veggies with boys.. if that helps/

doglover, i'm as as experiance in a long way as pigpen but it seems to most accurate i've come acrross is the speed of the heat beat.

i think if it is ffaster than 140 bpm it is a girl, if it is under it is a boy. so far everyone i know it has been right. as for me, i can't rememeber,.lol.

Oky doke, thanks Pigpen and JCR. It's funny because I've definitely got a mixture of "indications" but I haven't heard the heart rate yet so that's going to be my next focus! Will the midwife listen for the heart beat when I go at 16 weeks?

Once you've had your booking appointment, how long after do you hear about when your scan is? Will they let you know soon after the appointment, or just closer to the actual scan date?
My hubbie will need to give his work plenty of notice so that they can find someone to cover his lessons (he's a teacher).
Actually on that note, how easy are appointments to re-arrange or are they fixed once they give you a date?

Oh my god, you must be a pro. :)

Little update about booking app, went well. Arm is totally bruised but taking the blood wasn't as bad as i though. Wow how many forms is there to fill in????

Midwife talked to me about diet and things. Im not sure if anyone else knows this but she did mention to me that drinking tea or coffee with your meal can stop the iron in your food being absorbed into the blood. So its better having juice with your meal.

Just had the phone call and i have my scan on Friday :eek::eek:

thank pigpen. It must be different at different places then. I had my booking appointment on Thursday but I didn't ask her how long they would take for the hospital to let me know when the date was.
