At my surgery they send your paperwork off to the hospital after the booking appointment, then you have to phone the hospital a few days later to book your scan.

6+1 today - nothing to report except being tired!

When I had my first booking appointment, my m/w then sent off my paperwork and I got my scan date in the post after aorund 10 days or so.

This time they'd changed the system. She sent it off after I'd made my booking appointment with her and she told me the date at my booking appointment.

I have been so lazy today - have my office to myself and I've done hardly any work. I just want to go to sleep and really can't be a****d to do anything! Only problem is, I have to complete timesheets so have to account for my time!! Eek!! Can't wait for OBEM tonight - love that programme, although it does scare the beejeebees out of me, knowing it's edging closer all the time.......

    Hi all, gosh you're having a talkative day! 8 + 4 :)

Firstly pigpen   :rotfl: 9! I can't imagine having that many.... but good luck to you & I'm sure hubby will love this addition ;)

Secondly, we're keeping our 'flavour' (:rotfl:) a surprise! I love white & yellow anyway! Then again I was always dressed in blue - it's why it's my fave colour :D

*touches wood* MS seems to have disappeared here after only a week.... I think I might be speaking too soon but other than a stupid level of tiredness I've been feeling great - have had a burger, chinese & roast dinner since I've felt better! Unheard of last week :o

I'm trying to convince OH that I'm not being lazy, honest! Had to buy a pair of maternity jeans yesterday as mine were just too uncomfortable to wear anymore - though they keep falling down! They've got a big over the belly band which right now could stretch over my b o o b s! :rotfl: Halfprice in Mothercare ;) OH has only gone & decided on a travel system too! We had an impromptu demo in mothercare after I bought my jeans and he's convinced that the Trenton Deluxe is the one for us. It's a good price but the all black look is awful :( Ah well could always brighten up with blankets!

It's starting to seem very real all of a sudden!

i def agree about brightening buggies up with blankets. i used to have toy bars and a tiny love i think it was clip on toy which hung from hood. makes the buggy so much more childre friendly. also if you go on to have any more you can keep the buggy for next child as it isn't particulary for only one particular gender.

My pushchair advice.. don't get pale colours and don't get one where you cannot remove covers for washing.. You can guarantee that there will be at least 1 episode of major vomitting and a poop explosion in it.. and the edges of the hoods always gets maul marks round them so must go in the washer.

Oh.. and quite a lot go from lying flat, to lying slightly less flat to sitting bolt upright.. that is no good either there needs to be at least 4 seat positions.

And if you will use it a lot.. make the basket is usable with the seat in fully flat position otherwise you wake the baby trying to sneak stuff in the basket while shopping.

Brilliant advise pigpen, thanks - I know the seat does have 4 positions & the basket lowers at one end so you can get things in and out without waking bambino, but not sure how washable it is! Will check that out, many thanks! :D

CONGRATULATIONS to all you newly pregnant ladies. x x

well i guess until scan it easy to stay in denial. no one says you have to see a midwife or have any scan's. just carry on as normal and in 8 months or so then your know for sure, lol. i did 6 tests and still don't believe them. did u do a digi test to give you a rough guide ?

even after my 12 weeks scan i still haven't accepted it real.

When I was pregnant with my first baby, I was only 19, dumped by the father and in total denial. I knew I was pregnant but didn't want to face it. Because I was almost in denial, I didn't seem to get any symptoms either...just a hard tummy and the abscence of a period. So I didn't go to the doctors or tell anyone I was pregnant until I was seven months gone.(Fortunately I didn't smoke or drink anyway, so that wasn't a worry.) The doctor whisked me straight off for a scan and thankfully everything was fine. The following two months I got scanned, prodded, poked and blood taken that often I got very fed up.

With this pregnancy I have had every single symptom going - however I am not booking in with my midwife until I am 12 weeks as I like to be left alone to do my own thing. And I am only booking in that early so I can have a scan. :)

Very miffed today. Thought I was rid of the dreaded MS for good...until last night at 4am, I was watching TV as I felt sick. Suddenly I felt the urge to vomit and got as far as the kitchen sink before doing the deed. This morning has been spent covering the kitchen with bleach incase of um..erm....splatter (sorry folks). So I have been wretching over the smell of Domestos all day. I am really starting to detest this first trimester malarky. :rotfl:

I hope all you ladies are well and feeling dandy.

Bamby - possibly the worst part of puking is cleaning up afterwards. Actually, the act itself is the pits but cleaning up comes close second.

It's been ages since we've had a scan pic so I've taken a blurry photo of my blurry scan picture which was at 10weeks. It was much clearer on screen and the person who did it said it wasn't that clear due to tilted uterus and half full bladder.

    Ta da!
