Hi everyone! Hope you don't mind me joining too
. Just found out on monday night I am pregnant. We just got married 2 weeks ago and we only said about 3weeks ago or so 'let's try'. Missed my period last week and did 4 tests Monday......so must a happened immediately. Feel so lucky! So the clear blue digital test said 1-2weeks from conception, but the date of my last period was the 3rd June. I think we conceived 3 weeks ago, but is if officially 5 weeks according to a doc? Said that on the clear blue leaflet. Got my booking in appt on Tuesday 2nd of august. Hope everyone is well xxx ps just told my mum and dad and nana last night. They were so chuffed :T

Congratulations!
Your pregnancy is dated from your last period until you have your dating scan at about 12 weeks. This means that the first couple of weeks of 'pregnancy' are before you conceive!
Obviously docs and the online calculators cannot know when you conceive so your dates can change a fair bit at the scan. The BBC calculator put my due date as 8 Jan, midwife said 12 Jan and my dating scan has put it as 22 Jan! If they stick to this, it means I conceived the day my period was due!0 -
Hi everyone. Hope you are enjoying your weekend so far. Still very nauseous. Had a migraine from hell last night. That'll teach me for drinking nothing but orange juice the past few days:o

Hi Roxalana. thank you very muchwe are both so chuffed.
also, thanks for clarifying that for me. I think then at the moment, I am 5weeks then according to the docs way of thinking. Woohoooo. That means only about 7 weeks till a scan:D:D
how can you conceive on the day your period was due? Thought it would be 2 weeks after your period? I think I still dont understand all the conception stuff lol.
Ive just told the folk at work. Had to tell them today much earlier than Id have like anyone to know, but I work on a chemical plant doing 12hours shifts, and its quite a physical job and can also be exposed to some nasties, so need to let them know as I had to do a risk assessment and basically cant do the majority of my job, so staying inside today although I feel weird, almost like Im being a lazy beatchbut im not trying to be. So will have to see what the long term outlook of this is going to be.
Hope everyone else is having a fabby weekend though!0 -
