So glad to hear that Amanda you must be over the moon
We've been at OH's parents all day, was a big birthday for his mum yesterday so was good to visit her and take pressies and the cake I made her down. I was so tired I fell asleep before lunchI'm assuming they think I'm a lazy cow. Then while visiting Homebase she piped up "well now I've reached this milestone I guess it's grandchildren next" I think the colour drained from my face, it's like she knows!

Honestly I had my scan yesterday and was so convinced they'd take one look and say "pregnant?!?! don't thinkso" but the baby appeared right awayso don't panic, they will be in there.

Really thrilled everything went ok today Amanda - what a relief!
I also had a scan today, I couldn't wait another month so I paid to go private! I have never, ever been so umcomfortable and needed to wee so badly in my life, I did actually think I was going to wet myself!
Anyway the lady who did the scan was lovely and the baby looked fine, was where it should be and had a strong heartbeat - that was all I wanted to know. She did struggle at first to find the bean as apparently my stomach was filled with gas - lovely! She talked me through the internal scan and we though this would be the next step, but low and behold the bean appeared on screen, I think the talk of an internal scan scared it in to showing themselves!
Got some nice pictures and a report saying all is well, so I finally feel pregnant now and I'm pleased to know I wasn't imagining it all!
I paid £100.00 for my scan which I feel was also overpriced, but at least I haven't got that worry in the back of my mind that baby wasn't in there, so I suppose it was worth it!
I thought I was at 8+2 days and she estimated I was 8+3 days so my dates are fairly accurate.
Hope everybody has enjoyed their Saturday!

Mozzy - think I might fancy vegetables today with my meal  like peas or something, think its a bit abnormal bearing in mind my current 5 a month habit. You know you want a carrot Mozzy
Gilly - errr have you ever fallen asleep at oh's mum's before? if not then your cover might be blown :rotfl:However keeping :silenced: will be fun but you might notice her studying you a bit more closely when she thinks you are not looking :rotfl:
Have a good day All

Mssas, Muffin, Congratulations and welcome to the thread!
Amanda, I'm so pleased your private scan went so well. It is a HUGE relief the moment you see the little beanie appear on screen! I'm just waiting on 18 weeks, when i'm having another private 3/4d scan, and hopefully finding out what flavour beanie i'm growing!
Janinne, et al, Well done to the other ladies who have had their scans and appointments, the whole holding a full bladder thing is not much fun!
I'm having a rather lazy weekend. Got a bit of an upset tummy, so feeling ultra wiped out. DH keeps looking around and finding i've slunk back up stairs to lie down for another nap. Went round to PIL for dinner yesterday, wolfed down lasagna (and small seconds) followed by rhubarb crumble, was all yummy........ for the 20 minutes it lasted. Hey ho! At least i'd learnt from the previous occassion, to say no to the cream, no matter how much i fancied it. Second time round cream is vile on the way back!

Kira - Lasagne is the devils food, I have been put off for life after last week's Mr T's Finest, only prob is that I said to my mum before she went to US that really fancied lasagne  like she 'used to make it' and she said she would make it for me when she returned  so I have to tell her as soon as she is back DO NOT make me any lasagne!!
So feel for you hun!!!
Will be looking forward to you letting us know when you get round to your next scan whether it is a strawberry or blueberry milkshake:rotfl: :rotfl:sorry best not to encourage me at this time in the morning..!
Lucy - your making me jealous, suggested to oh cant we go out again (prospect of veg and no cooking smells) but he is not having any of it as we cant reallyso it looks like a trip to sainbos
