Perhaps I am getting some PG symptoms now. I feel queasy if i get hungry or smell cigarette smoke.

Still tired of an evening and tend to flop out on the sofa.

Amanda, I had heard of SPD but have now googled it. Hugs to you! Hope it doesn't get any worse!

I have my first appointment at the GP next Tueday, I will be 6 weeks. From there I will find out when I get referred to the midwives etc.

    Hugs to all

I would be interested to know how long it takes as on my letter says allow an hour for appointment which seems a bit long!

It must vary by area/hospital a bit then... My letter says I can expect to be there for 2-3 hours!

Nikki - so sorry to hear your news, hope you and OH can stay strong and try again soon (if that is what you want to do of course). Take care of yourself hun x

Hey girls, hope you're all doing well. So sorry to Nikki *hugs* Take care hun.

My first scan and midwife appointment is tomorrow, I'm nervous & excited. I have a weird feeling it's going to be twins  I'll keep you all updated on it.

My sickness shows no sign of giving up. I came off the cyclazine pills I was on and I noticed how much more chilled I feel! It was really making me irritable so I've decided to just brave through the sickness without pills. I was sick as soon as I got out of bed this morning and I'm concerned that there was some blood at the end of it. This is the second time it's happened, should I be worried? I'm hoping it's just the stomich lining causing it as I'm throwing up when I've not even eaten yet.

I also drank loads of water in the first few weeks & now I'm off it & onto Orangina which is going down well, along with Fab ice lollies. Still struggling to eat anything dinner wise though, I can't wait to get my appetite back!

Has anyone else noticed how many food adverts there is on telly? Too much! The Pizza hut one and the birdsye vegetable one always get my gag reflex going. (The creepy bear doesn't help lol :rotfl:) I wish I could ban food adverts.

Anyway I'll be on tomorrow after I've seen the little one (or two!) causing all this trouble xxx

I think it might be worth taking another trip to the docs. Whilst it is probably what you think, best to ask a professional!

    Afternoon All!

Hugs to you Nikki if your still around, I can't imagine what your going through but hope you and your OH are OK?

I had my booking in appointment last week with a student midwife - she was lovely but don't know if she'll follow me all the way through though?? I have been told I have to be seen by a consultant too as I had a pulmunary embulism (sp?) - blood clot on my lung 2 years ago and don't know what to expect...Has anyone else been referred to a consultant?

I also got my scan date through for the 28th July! It seems like ages away but I know it will fly!

I still don't have any pregnancy symptoms so can't help with any sickness - I think this is a great thing but I'm quite nervous!

Has anyone bought any maternity clothes yet? I am in need of work trousers and can't get over the prices of Mothercare and the other big named brands - does anyone know where I can get a decent pair from?

    Thanks! :T

Yes due to my high BMI - the last one (different PCT) just said hi & signed my notes at my 12 week scan but I have a full appointment with my new PCT one on Monday :)

I bought maternity trousers from online George Maternity (Asda) along with a long black skirt for hot days - good value :D

Hey at lest you got an appointment.. I've had 2 referrals (9 and 16 weeks) and no appointment so am just struggling on as usual and getting VERY much fed up.

I am down to strip washes because I can't get in the bath and the shower is over the bath, I can walk about 20 yards and everything else is painful beyond compare.. I function on codeine and paracetamol and then it doesn't really work.

I had a student MW at my booking too.. I WILL see her again.. she is married to my cousin :p

Oh pigpen am really sorry you ain't been seen yet. It is awful I know exactly how it feels ! I rang on monday and was seen on Tuesday so it's all very quick around here.

Have to say though the chiropractor was amazing today I was hoping they would help and they have for today at least lots of clicks cracks and pops from my spine and pelvis but I am walking much better and what was a very bad pain is now more of a dull ache.

She did warn me though that I may well feel some discomfort tomorrow like I have done a workout !

I can highly recommend them this one had specialist experience with pregnant women too so would check that they do if anyone uses one, the only drawback is the cost it is expensive and if you don't have the money it isn't much help to anyone but I think they should put them on the NHS personally but hey thats just me :)

I think if she can help me to feel as good as I do today then it's worth every penny :D today is a good day for me :D

I really hope you are seen soon pigpen

    xxx

I won't be being seen at all.. again.. I just get a bit depressed when everyone else seems to have appointments no problem it always just seems to be me.. I'm sure it isn't.. but it sure seems that way.
