I'm finding myself getting so wound up at my OH, I'm assuming it's pregnancy hormones. He works full time and currently I'm not working, I'm happy to do all the house work, ironing etc but it annoys me the amount of "tidying up" I have to do, example, glasses and plates just left on the side board rather than being put in the dish washer, clothes just left lying on the floor, dvds etc not being put away. Am I being unreasonable? I feel bad even moaning about it because he does so much for me, but this is annoying me
Have a word with him. Best to nip it on the bud now, than wait til the baby is here.

    Hello Ladies
I was wondering if I could possibly join, I have lurked on the ttc board but never posted.
We have been trying for about 4 months and I am now 3 days late, I have taken 3 tests and they all show a very faint positive line...I'm still not sure but OH has googled and it seems that a lot of people get a faint.

Anyway....if I am counting it as a postive, please please dont judge me, but I'm not as happy as I thought I would be? I'm actually really really scared!!! I have wanted a baby for absolutely ages, my sister has two and I adore them and I couldnt wait till I had my own. But now that it is becoming real, Im stupidly frightened ..... did anyone else feel like that??!

I suppose we are quite young, 23 and 24, but we have been together for 5 years, we bought our own house 18 months ago and we both have fairly good jobs.

I'm worrying about money mainly whilst I would be on mat leave and then paying for childcare when I return. We did our sums before we started trying and we can get by, just. I dont know whats the matter with me but I feel ever so funny about it all....very nervous!

Please reply to me ladies....hopefully telling me I'm normal?

Of course the faint line may not be a positive, in which case just boot me off this board and I'll go back to lurking :o

    Hello Sunshine! Welcome!

Well, unlike the OPK tests, with PG tests, generally any line appearing within the 10 mins is a positive, no matter how faint. Generally just means its very early days, and the hormone levels in your wee are still low. How many days past ov do you think you are? If you arent sure on the positive, i would recommend getting a digital which says PG or Not- the CB ones which gives weeks are pretty good.

I dont think you are abnormal at all. DH and i had been talking TTC for ages before actually starting, and we were lucky enough to fall first month, which was great, but also unexpected as i thought i would get more time to adjust to the reality of trying and all the money things we needed to sort. I started saving a bit before TTC started, but as soon as i got the BFP, i upped my savings each month as much as poss, to give myself a buffer.

It sounds like you and your OH have done the right thinking, and working out funds, so as long as you keep to plan, and put aside what you can, when you can, you will be fine. Have a read of the boards, as there is plenty out there on having a baby the MSE way!
You have a long way to go before bubs appears, but it will fly past, so try to relax and go with the flow!

    Hi Kira

Thanks for replying...good to know its ok to be scared.

I think I am about 16 days past ov. Im def planning to up my savings from now on, won't need money for clothes or nights out anymore, so theres a little bit extra.

I think I will buy a digital test tomorrow and see what that says.

    Thanks again

No problem Sunshine. Do let us know what the digi says, what ever the result. And even if its a neg, then i'm sure we will see you here soon enough! Plus it will give you more time to save!
Being scared is something i think i didnt expect so much from being PG, so get used to feeling it alot more! It is all part of the territory now. I think everyone on here has had it now! For me, Scared i wouldnt be accepted for my chosen maternity hospital, scared that there wouldnt be a beanie there when i had my scan, scared what the combined/downs screening would say, scared what my booking bloods would say, scared what the consultant mght say. I'm over all of those now, so its moved on to scared about my GTT results (in october!) scared about the 20 week (abnormality scan), scared what the anaethestist will say about my BMI when i see him later this month, etc etc. I think it is all the hormones, the unknown, and the fact that beanie is hidden away and you cant tell what is going on, so its easy to get scared!
That wasnt me trying to scare you BTW, just reassure you that this whole baby thing has plently of perfectly normal scary!

Looking forward to hearing your result tomorrow!

    K

I've just had the same argument!! We both working, and I do all washing etc. But instead of putting clothes in laundry basket, they going on the floor in the bathroom and floor in the bedroom!!I have to pick them all up. So had it out, and now all sorted thank-goodness.
