Icey - my MS kicked in on the day of my first mw appointment at exactly 7 weeks and continued three times a week (though I was dying of nausea & heartburn for the first several weeks) until I was about 15 or so weeks. Occasionally I'm still sick in the morning - bizarrely if I start coughing after breakfast I know I'm going to lose it! :o

I all, can I join you all. I'll be 6 weeks tomorrow, currently I'm so ill my plans of keeping it quiet until my scan is not working as there is lots of people suspicious at work already. I don't want to tell them yet as they are thinking of making some people redundant and I don't want to flag myself as someone to get rid of.

Also anyone had any experience with breaking the news to teenagers, mine are 15 and 13 and I'm with a new partner who they get on fine with, I'm just nervous of their reaction. I want to tell them this weekend before they think something is really wrong with me, the constant trips to throw up and the fact I'm too tired to move of the sofa will make them notice soon.

they'll be great about the baby.. but disgusted you are having sex at your age!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Mine are 19, 16, 15, 13, 12 , 10, 8, 6 and 11 months.

DS1 (19) told me off for having sex.. said it was gross... I replied no more gross than little boys who don't know what they are doing with it :p ...

    Hi Ladies,

I had an emergency trip to the Docs this morning. I have been feeling quite breathless for a couple of days now, but last night I woke up and I couldn't catch my breath, it felt like something heavy was sat on my chest - really not pleasant.

Called the docs first thing and got seen straight away. I saw a young doctor who examined me and was puzzled! He called in another Doc who examined me and he was puzzled! They were concerned about DVT or a blood clot, but I don't have all the symptoms, just a few. He listened to my chest and back and was concerned about my left lung not filling with oxygen. My pulse was slow and sluggish as well.

He is sending me for a scan of my lungs this afternoon, he was reluctant to send me for an x-ray for obvious reasons.

So lots for me to worry about now. :(

Hope everybody else is having a better day than me.

    xx

you'd need about 10,000 x-rays for it to have any real impact on the baby.. so if they want to do an x-ray it will be fine!!!

The doc did ask this, I haven't really suffered with anxiety, just the usual worry about everything being ok with the pregnancy and baby.

Just had my pregnant woman lunch. Mature cheddar, strong pickled onions, with a toffee apple for afters.

Icey, my MS started at day 4 DPO (i guess thats 2 weeks 4 days) with just all day nausea and tiredness. The actual sickness started about week 5 with once every few days, mainly lunch time onwards then spread to a few times most days, all day. Am now 14+2 and still going strong. I've accepted it will go when it will now, and just trying to eat what i fancy, and avoiding the stuff that seems to make me sick, or that tastes foul second time round. Blueberries i love, but now make me sick, but taste like ribena second time so i still have them (naughty!), cream i dont usually like, but keeping fancying now, but tastes like sour milk 2nd time so avoiding! Cheesy jacket potatoes and toast with peanut butter were my saviour when at my worst.

Jannine, i'm so sorry you feel poo and have had that scare. I hope you get some answers and reassurance soon. Do remember that beanies do cause more effort on your body, and more blood production, which can easily make you breathless. Just have to relax and take things a bit slower than you are used to.
