    Morning ladies!

Lucy stitches are normal - its all your ligaments and stuff stretching to make way for a baby

I get it. But I'm putting it down to wind Haha. Still suffering with constipation.
To be honest, right now I'm just eating what I feel like, coz when I think of some foods, they just gross me out. So anything I can stomach goes, along with lots of juicy fruit!

Just thought I'd say bye for a bit, as I'm off on holiday soon! I'm so looking forward to a week of sleep :) Hopefully I'll feel like visiting lots of lovely places too. Can't believe I'm nearly 9 weeks already - will be over 10 weeks when I get back, and I'm going to tell the rest of my work colleagues then. I'm staying with family tomorrow, so I hope my Dad will be excited when I tell him the news, as it'll be his first grandchild.

Take care everyone, hope all the scans / appointments go well, and see you soon.

Have a lovely holiday Bluebell. enjoy the "you time" and have a good rest! I'm sure your dad will be delighted!!!

Mozzy.. yummmm, fruit. I cant manage all fruit, but no grape, mango or raspberry is safe near me at the mo! And i'm ploughing my way through litres of coppella apple juice, although i am drinking it diluted with water to reduce the blood sugar hit.

Keza, mmmm cheese. That has brought back my cheese and pickled onions urge from the other day. I know what my lunch will be now!

Really struggling to think today. I am trying to finish a big case review and decision paper for our board of directors, and my head just feels really fuzzy and i cant concentrate. It HAS to be finished today. I know what i want to write, but i cant seem to think. Really frustrating, and it is sooooo important!

Reminds me of driving to work one day at 50mph, no where to pull over and MS hit me out of the blue. Clamped one hand over my mouth to stop me covering the dashboard & had to keep driving - not pleasant! _pale_

I all, can I join you all. I'll be 6 weeks tomorrow, currently I'm so ill my plans of keeping it quiet until my scan is not working as there is lots of people suspicious at work already. I don't want to tell them yet as they are thinking of making some people redundant and I don't want to flag myself as someone to get rid of.

Also anyone had any experience with breaking the news to teenagers, mine are 15 and 13 and I'm with a new partner who they get on fine with, I'm just nervous of their reaction. I want to tell them this weekend before they think something is really wrong with me, the constant trips to throw up and the fact I'm too tired to move of the sofa will make them notice soon.

Hello. If your children are anything like my teen aged 17,they will be in a state of shock for a couple of days, then they'll be very happy. My one worry when telling my son,was that we would have to postpone our New York trip, which we had planned for november. But he was absolutely fine about eveything

    Hi floatylight,

    Congratulations!

I was under the impression that if your work know that you are pregnant you have more rights when redundancies are happening. If there is a job with 2 possible candidates and one is pregnant, the candidate that is pregnant automatically gets the job. Not sure how true this is but I know that is what happens at my friends work.

Hi Floaty, and congratulations, Sorry you are feeling poorly. I've been in the same boat as you since day 4, so i sympathise. Just keep your mind on the end game! In terms of work, Kitten is right, you have far more rights once you have officially told work you are PG. If you werent ill and could keep it quiet, then it might be worth not saying so it doesnt give them an excuse, but if you are ill, and you suspect that they might have an inkling, you are probably better off speaking up in writing, as otherwise they can use their suspicions for the decision and you have no rights at all. Of course only a few employers are dumb enough to TELL you they are using your pregnancy as an excuse, but if you have a good record and there is no reason to chose you over anyone else, then once you tell them, it means you have a good reason to put a case they are discriminating on the basis of PG.

'Fraid i cant help on the teenagers bit, being on #1. It was harder enough working out what order to tell the various parents, PIL and step parents!

What sort of time does the MS kick in? I'm sure some lucky ladies don't get it at all and some have a truly terrible time.

At the moment I am only 4+3 and I'm tired getting up, once I get going at work I am OK though. By the time I am on my way home I am weary again and ready for some dinner, a bit of TV and then bed.

Every so often I get a little bit of nausea, but not enough to be a problem. Just aware that I feel a little off colour.

I back on the "I don't feel PG so I'm looking for any sign whatsoever" track ... perhaps I should do another little test ;)
