  • Hi! I was a lurker on Trying for a baby, and last weekend got my BFP! I'm about 5 weeks, this is number 2 & I'm joining for chat & advice I hope!
I know I've done it all before, but it doesn't stop me being scared! I should have more confidence surely?
I rang my Dr's, but they won't see me until I'm 8weeks, is this normal? I'm sure I went straight away last time!
I just need some reassurance from them, I have only told my partner & my son (I know I should have waited, he's only 5, but we're very close & I had to explain why mummy is being a stroppy monster!)
I moved to the other side of the country not long ago, so have no friends or family :(

Congratulations Moneysavingmamma, and welcome. Hopeufully you'll get meeting other mum's to be know and get meeting some people, i'm in a pretty similar position as we don't know many people where we live, but for us it's only 2 hours home so not so bad.
This is my first and i'm so nervous about everything, and even though it's your second Im sure you must have the same fears, it's only natural xx
    Hi MSM :) Congratulations!! I'm 5+4 - I think!
These early weeks really seem to drag, don't they?

Portsmouthali - I think I'm 5 + 2, so pretty close to you! Though docs will probably say i'm 7 weeks as per LMP so will wait and see when I get my scan, have my first appointment on tuesday and even though it will only be 12 days since my bfp it's dragging soooo much!!

    Hi,

Can I come chat too please? :o I'll be 6 weeks Tuesday and still deciding what to do and how to feel. First baby and have crazy giggly excited moments, panicking moments that I have strange aches and then scared can we afford all this moments. Trying to catch up on the thread but hoping to see this is normal! :D

Thanks all. Hope you and your ever growing bumps are well.

    xx

sorry to hear that hun, not sure if the doctors will give you anything though, they will probably just send you to the epau. and only then will they consider it, if you hav (keoton) ithink it is,which imeans you are dehydrating. the only reason i got anything was because im on thyroid tablets that i have to keep down.

Hi everyone, congrats on your good news MSM and on your scans Sequeena and JCR.

I am still only 4 + 4. In fact, I have only known for 8 days...feels like a lifetime! :rotfl: I am still feeling pretty good-I have major bloating and sore bbs but no ms and not much cramping any more. I am also eating for England. I had a wobbly yesterday and cried all over OH because I felt fat. Such a stereotypical pregnant lady thing to do!

    Enjoy your Sundays everyone x

Thanks for you reply, I was so sick last pregnancy I did get admitted with dehydration but at least I worked in an office then so could have easy duties etc to help me cope, but this time I have a very maunal job I'm a hospital domestic which is quite full on lots of bending, its very warm and lots of horrid smells, all which make me feel even worse :( i'm gonna have a few more days off then speak to midwife when I go on thursday x

i know how you feel, i have just taken a week off work through feeling and being really sick, all day every day. just couldnt face work as i run a school kitchen and buffet service and just could not work with the smells and food. am planning on going nto to work tomorrow , will just have to see how i cope lol. by the way i ended up not takng the sickness tablets after two days as tey really monged me out and i couldnt function at all, so tired and dopey (although hubby would probably say thats me in general lol)

speaking of hubby he sat there earlier in all earnest and looked at me and said, "yeah but if you think about it, mornng sickness is all in your head isnt it"
