    Hi All,

I was hoping I could join. I built up the courage to join the TTC thread after TTC for over 2years and ended up only staying two weeks, so hoping that I will be on this thread a bit longer than that.

Found out I am pregnant last Monday and have taken 6 tests to confirm it. Doctor has confirmed potential due date of 07.12.2011 and taken my blood tests. My 1st midwife appointment is on the 13th May. Still in denial about the whole thing and am convinced that my hormones have somehow managed to give a false positive.

Congratulations to everyone I hope your pregnancies are treating you well.

Kitten, I'm the same. I'm due 02/12/11, and keep having to remind myself I'm pregnant.... first midwife app 04/05/11
  • Hope you're okay Blue Monkey. By my dates I'm 6 + 4 and can't wait for booking in appointment and scan. My bbs are also slightly less sore. Luckily I'm so far not troubled with ms *touches wood quickly*.

It's just 2 days until we tell our parents and siblings. I can't wait but am equally terrified that they will disapprove of us telling them so early. Had a little cry about it last night. While I can totally justify in my head why we're telling them (it's been an incredibly hard journey just to even get pregnant), I would hate for anyone to judge, as other siblings haven't told until 12 weeks.

Anyway, I think I'm making a hormonal mountain out of a molehill...

Is anyone else having difficulty sleeping? I wake up to pee at 4.01am every night, without fail! Then I take over an hour to get back to sleep. Yawn.

Have a great day and enjoy the sunshine everyone.

Sleeplessness driving me mad as well. I want to sleep as soon as I've woken up. I want to sleep when I arrive in work. I really want to sleep in the afternoon. Shattered by the time I get home, I fall asleep on the sofa while my husband's making dinner. Then after I've eaten it, I sleep more. Then I go to bed, specifically for sleep. Works too, for a couple of hours- then I end up counting all the cracks on the ceiling, and wondering if I should paint the hallway.
If I try staying up, and developing some semblance of a normal sleep pattern- I end up twice as sleepy the next day.
Apparantly, according to my MIL, that will pass quite soon. :)

All sorts of sleep issues here too. I'm starting to wee a bit less, so that's helping some. Was 3-4 x's/night for awhile, even after making myself go right before bed. I had to go more often than my toddlers at work! Now, just 1-2 x's, waking early, tiredness throughout day, and some *really* far out dreams.

Nursie, why would they give you grief for telling? They're going to be over the moon happy for you!

Had my booking in appt today and loved the midwife! She was very personable, answered my questions and didn't judge. :p So glad that she seems fab...was very nervous about that.

  • Hi all,

I ended up going to A&E last night... I'd had a bit of brown spotting and the doctor last week said if it turned into fresh blood to get seen straight away. So we spent 3.5 hours in there, I had some blood tests done and then told to come back in the morning for a scan. All is ok, the ultrasound (weird dildo thing) puts us at 6+2, so my official due date is 12/12/11.

The morning sickness (actually "all-day nausea" would be more appropriate) is a bit of a !!!!!!, and I have an unquenchable thirst. Boobs aren't as tender as they have been, and I'm not feeling physically tired yet - just emotionally we we're still up and down with it all and I need to make a decision re new-job-stay-in-oz or current-job-go-home by next Wednesday.

Glad every thing is ok BM. Could you see much on the scan? I've got an internal scan tomorrow. I think I'll be 6+5 going by LMP.

That's a big decisin yu've got to make in a very short period of time

I've had trouble sleeping since I got my BFP, I wake up for the loo at about 1 or 2am, then again at 5am and after that I'm awake for the day. I'm not complaining though, I've waited so long to be pg that I'm going to enjoy every aspect of it :D

May i come and join in?
I've been getting VFP's for 3 days, and this morning got a proper BFP on a digital test! This was our first month of TTC, after 6 months of prepping and cycle reading, so i'm kind of in shock at it happening so quickly.
I was kind of expecting a +ve as i've been feeling sick and tired pretty much since 5 days after DTD. My tummy already feels quite swollen and very odd, even tho its only 14DPO, so maybe it is even 2 in there!

Got to get my head around what next now, and register at a docs.
