I knew that bump wasn't a nine week bump! Well at least you are well out of the vulnerable weeks of the first trimester so if I was you I'd be feeling relieved about that. I'd love to jump forward to 17 weeks - begin to feel kicking and have something to show for it. I keep thinking to myself - there's a baby in there! It doesn't seem real yet despite seeing it on the scan.

    When you gonna tell OH?

In a previous job, I had a customer with the most amusing surname...I don't think I can even post it on here lol, the first half was Treble and the second half rhymed with 'clock', minus the L...my manager actually called up directory enquiries as he thought someone was taking the mick out of me (I was only 17, straight out of school), but no, the poor guy was actually in the phone book as Mr Treble....

Hope everything goes well for you today Lucifer.

AFM, time is dragging sooo much until my scan next week! I just want it now!! I have the tiniest little bump starting to form though, but prob mainly bloat...was a real struggle to get my jeans fastened this morning! Have a day off today, and debating whether it not to stop in at mamas and papas and mothercare when I go into town in a bit. Really want to start buying bits, but don't want to jinx things! My mum is so superstitious about things like that, when my sister was born, my dad wasn't allowed to get my cot down from the loft until the morning my mum was coming home from hospital with my sister! And when my friend was pregnant, my mum had promised her an old buggy we had, but wouldn't let me take it round to my friend until baby was born...in the end, my friend ended up buying one anyway as she wanted to be organised before hand! So I suppose a bit of my mums thinking has rubbed off on me lol! Suppose I'm not even 11 weeks yet, so there's still plenty time!

I have started buying things, can't help myself! I kind of reason I can sell them on or return them (or keep them!) if the worst happens. I have lots of stuff left from DS1 though so it's not even like I need to buy them, it's just shopaholicness. So far I've already bought a new hood for the pram (new baby new colour), a new changing bag (reason I can still use it with DS1 if it came to it), some bottle kits (were on offer in boots) and a babygym/mat thing (had some john lewis vouchers and couldn't resist!)

The babygym was also a reward to speck (as i'm calling it - as was only a speck on the first scan) for still being there yesterday when I had another scan.

I've probably tempted fate quite enough now!!

Pigpen can you not leave a pregnancy test on his dinner plate or something? Call him down for dinner and then rush into another room before he arrives. (Obv not with food on the plate too that would be messy)
  • glad you have seen MW Pigpen, OH must know already surely!

    good luck Luciferswench

I'm off to see MW at 3pm for booking in. I'm going to ask her what I can drink cos I'm tired of scrutinising for sweeteners!
