    Hi ladies.
I am in for my erpc today, they wsnted to do it as quickly as possible.
I have to check in at 8.30 should be home by 5pm. I choose to have the procedure as i wanted done as quickly as possible and didnt want to wonder when things would happen.
The epu was so busy yesterday 4 and half hour wait to sign my consent. Sitting there trying to keep things together.
Sorry if this has upset anyone.
Thanks for all your best wishes. X

Hi Hula, I know I shouldn't be on here still, but can't help but lurk!
There is a miscarriage thread on here, I've found it usefull as I can talk in (graphic!) detail without upsetting anyone, only getting support and shared experiences. People in the real world ask if I'm OK, but don't really want to know!
It's also good to see your progress, I posted very drunk, then a bit less, and then more sensible thoughts. I've looked back and glad to see I am getting better! And theres no-one to get embarrassed infront of, like real people who might not cope well with your emotional journey!

While I am here, I got a letter today for an Obsetrics appointment in May. It's with a consultant. If I don't get anywhere down the GP route. (I want to be checked out for c-section damage) should I still go? Will they be angry with me? Or help me with the option of TTC?
    Thanks

  • Hi all,

Hula - If you're still about Im so sorry to hear your news. I hope I don't have to face what you are, it would probably finish me. All the very best in youe recovery.

No other news. I cba to add myself to the scan list for Friday. I'll be going on my own as OH can't get the day off work....I hope is good news.

Does anyone know will happen at the scan? I know its down as a 'reassurance' one...but If I am blatantly further on than I think will they use it as a 12 week one or what?

Ooo, spoke to the 'chief' midwife today. Said she would contract me on Thursday about how it will work and where I will go to clinic but she knows the situation and remembered me from October so we will see what happens.

Nice belly pp. If I can work out how to upload a pic of me il do it. My stomach doesn't rival yours but its clearly there :D

as a private scan the nhs won't even acknowledge you've had it done so if you are 12 weeks you'll still get the nhs one too. If you are less than 8 weeks or so they'll probably want to do an internal scan as it is clearer supposedly. If it is an nhs one at epu they wil usualy still do the 12 week one as they'll also offer the NT which has to be done weeks 11-13

:grouphug: Hugs to anyone who needs one.

I had my booking appointment yesterday morning. It lasted over an hour and the midwife was lovely. It was a bit surreal to get a bounty pack with the newborn nappy in it  Makes it all seem more real!

I've got my 12 week scan 2 weeks on Thursday and I am absolutely petrified that something will be wrong. I'm still tired and nauseous but can't help feeling something will go wrong.

TMI alert - I can't remember who mentioned getting yellowish thick discharge but I've been getting that everyday since about week 5 (9+6 today). Every few days the discharge has been slightly brown tinted and on Sunday I had the tiniest pink spot when I wiped.
The midwife said I should really get it checked out it if it gets worse but as it's not really spotting properly, I think I'll just hang on in there til I have my scan on 7th April.

I don't suppose there's anything they can do to stop a miscarriage if it's going to happen. I'm already taking enough time off work with various appointments and I don't want them to know I'm preganant yet, so the less appointments I need the better! (Doesn't stop me being on permanent knicker watch though :o )

On a lighter note, I watched OBEM this evening and it made me very teary - flippin' hormones!! :rotfl:

Its an NHS scan because of what happened last time.

Its in the antenatal clinic at my local hosp (not EPU) but I *think* il be 7 weeks so will probably be internal. If my dates are out, will they tell me then? Presumably they will be able to tell how far along I am by the size of the sprog?

Not got a 12 week scan booked 'coz I dont see the consultant 'til 13+ weeks but I might try and convince the midwife to sort one out for me around that time.

THEY'LL STILL WANT THE DATing scan (soz capslock) and if you want the NT you best tell them and they'll have to arrange that then too as it is such a small window to be done in.

They'll measure top of head to bottom and work out gestation on that. .. be prepared for blob with not much detail but heartbeat will be visible.

Maybe you could contact the midwife and ask her to send you another voucher? Hope you manage to get one!
