abis I started spotting at about the same time this pregnancy too. I had a massive meltdown and convinced myself that I was headed for my 3rd chemical in almost as many months.

However the spotting was gone by the end of the evening, and (touch wood) I haven't had any since. It is common to get a bit of spotting around the time your period is due.

Is it pinky or red?

I'm trying not to have a meltdown, altho a few tears snuck out earlier :o I know I can't influence things either way.

Its mainly brown, small tinge of red to it. We BD last night n its been since then - which I know can happen and is normal. I just don't like it I told DH he isn't poking his thing anywhere near me for a while now :rotfl:

It could well be down to the BD'ing as your cervix is more delicate than usual and intercourse can cause a bit of a bleed. It isn't dangerous, but we are not BD'ing until I get a bit further on as I know any kind of spotting drives me mad with worry.

Brown/pink is generally not worry about, if t gets heavy and red then I'd maybe give your EPU/MW a call, but honestly it's probably just the BD'ing.

I keep trying to tell myself its down to that - just kind of frightened to go to the loo now tho Hate seeing it

I'm just gonna try and distract myself for the next couple of weeks I think. Will be entitled to an early scan at 6-7 weeks. Just hoping I get that far I guess :o

I know how distressing it can be but try not to worry (impossible I know). I had some spotting at 5 1/2 weeks and everything was fine. Bding can cause spotting because of the increased blood flow to the area or it could be the embro burrowing. Maybe give your dr a call tomorrow?

@benicetomyself, yup I had my nuchal scan and so far everything is looking good

Thanks LaoCat - gonna go for a docs appt tomorrow I think to set the ball rolling. I think I will need a referral for my early scan thru the GP anyways. Midwives don't normally see you here til 10 weeks.

3+4 here and got what I'm calling a BFP this morning. Taking each day as it comes at the moment but hoping to be able to get to know you ladies

Big congrats comp, i still lurk on the ttc thread, fab news. You are just right, one day at a time has been my motto for the past 16weeks, its all you can do. Any symptoms yet?
