Hi, I have been a lurker on this and the other TTC threads for a while now. We had been trying for 3 years and had a laproscopy last year where they found uterine fibroids, endometriosis and both my tubes blocked. They did manage to remove the endometriotsis and able to clear one of my tubes(only partially though). We were waiting for IVF when I got a BFP couple of days ago
I am totally clueless on what to do next. I phoned my surgery today where they mentioned to just drop my sample (I assume urine sample) and then they will appoint a mid-wife for me.
Is that how it's done? I was hoping that I will be booked for an appointment with the GP/ Nurse ASAP who will explain the next steps.
In addition, I have noticed light brown clots (very small size) couple of times today when I wiped after peeing. Has anyone else experienced this and is this normal? I am very scared and totally lost. I don't want to tell anyone else until I see the doctor/ midwife first, so very grateful for any replies...
Thanks

Everyone has had different experiences when they first found out when they were pregnant. When I found out, I made a doctors appointment and he referred me to my community midwife team. I received an appointment for that and my 12 week scan at the hospital in the post a couple of weeks after my first doctors appointment.
I know that it is easier said than done but try not to worry about the spotting. It is very normal to have some spotting but, to put your mind at rest, make an appointment to see your doctor asap on Monday. Worrying and googling it can cause more harm than good.
I spent the first trimester is a constant state of worry because, where I live, pregnancy isn't confirmed until you have your 12 week scan. I was buying tests like they were going out of fashion and I half convinced myself that my little un was something sinister giving off fake hormones!0 -
I'm very pleased for you MV
MoneyQueen- I got a BFP, called the GP and was advised I have a midwife appt at 8 weeks. There's anything before then I suppose unless I have problems and request an sooner appointment. I don't know much about spotting but I've heard it's normal usually.0 -
Afternoon all. My phone was busy yesterday! I have a booking appointment with midwife a week on Monday, my flu jab this Tues and a dating scan Wed 23rd Jan. My doc also said to go to the chemist for some Healthy Start vitamins - not sure if this is just a Scottish thing or UK wide. I was pleasantly surprised to find they were only £1.25 - I've to take them to 12 weeks and not to take additional folic acid. As I'm not sure of my dates, I could be 12 weeks at my scan so will take then until then and see what the dayes come out at.
Hope everyone is keeping well, I am still sickly and knackered but trying to perk myself up in front of DD (13) which is extremely hard - we don't want to shock her any sooner than necessary cos I think she will be horrified!
ETA - Pleased everything went well MV0
