Thank you Dida
In true obsessional style, I did a couple more tests this evening (just to check!) and both came up super fast, in fact with the FRER one, the test line came up way before the control and was super dark..I've never had a test line darker than a control before.
Hopefully it's a good sign!Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -

Haha! I know what you mean - I was still testing up until my scan and analysing the shades! Thank goodness Amazon do cheapo packs! Will continue to look out for you as a lurk as I really want everything to work out for you!
I have just bought a doppler (I am guess the next stage in progression from the many tests I have done...) just to check there is something still in there somewhere..... in true obsessional style also!:p0 -
Good Luck Sparkles!! Enjoy the 'Big Girls Thread'
Anyone else gaining weight already? I weighed myself this morning and I have already gained about 4lbs and Im only 5 and a bit weeks. My trousers feel quite a bit tighter and as work provides us with a uniform I can see them not fitting rather quickly (they werent exactly baggy to begin with) I am a bit worried I might have to tell work sooner than I thought, the maternity uniform they provide is very obvious and I would never get away with wearing my own trousers and nobody noticing.
I actually lost 3lb, but I reckon I just put all that back on after eating a tube of munchies. It might just be bloat/water retention? I don't think you'd need to tell work, just say you need a bigger size - surely lots of people put on weight and have to ask?Are you finding the time is going very slowly? I will be six weeks on sat and I swear time is crawling by!I'm not used to having time of over Christmas as I used to work all but the bank holidays.

Hope everyone is feeling ok.
I still don't really feel confident enough to post here as I don't really feel pregnant! I was feeling really 'full' and bloated at work on Wednesday, but today I feel 100% 'normal', so my mind is going into overdrive.
I've felt like I'm quite lacking in symptoms. 6 weeks tomorrow and according to my notes from last time I already had quite bad nausea by now. I've had some nausea this week, but sometimes I wonder if I'm imagining it as I have it one evening and not the next. Not had anything morning and during the day.
I'm wondering if anger is a symptom...I'm getting very easily annoyed by DD. She ran in the road this morning and screamed when I grabbed her hand and refused to move and sat down in a puddle. *sigh*
I got my booking appointment today for 3rd January. I wasn't going to call so early this time, but with Christmas and New Year I thought it was best to get in sooner than later. It's convenient for me to have the appointment during the holidays too. Only been in my job for 7 weeks and it feels a bit soon to be asking for time off.Baby Giz born 6/2/110 -
Oh and I've been getting way ahead of myself and googling the chances of me being allowed a water birth cos of my PPH/retained products. Looks like some people have been allowed, some not, and saw one where they were allowed to labour in the pool, but not give birth and another where they just had to get out straight after giving birth. TBH I'd be happy to just labour in the pool, and I know there's always the the chance the pool is in use, but the thought of being declined from the outset worries me. I'm wondering how quick labour might be too, perhaps things will progress too quick to use the pool anyway.Baby Giz born 6/2/110

Thanks ihatedida, oh im not sure if i could have a doppler at home, i would be freaking out if i couldn't find a hb, but at least you have the option with it at home, i understand the obsession, Im stressing about the mw finding a hb at my 16 week appt, honestly the worrying never ends! Glad everything is going so far so good Mv, keeping fingers crossed.Mum of 2 :j0

Lao-cat - yes time is going stupidly slowly, I will be six weeks on Monday.... so another 6 weeks to wait for a scan and telling people....
I casually emailed HR who order the uniform saying that I had gained a few lbs and wondered if I could have some trousers in the next size up. I got a phone call back saying that they currently dont have any in stock in the size I need and althought she can put the request in for me it is likely no orders will be processed until after the christmas break, an order apparently takes 4-6 weeks to actually arrive...... might be a bit too late by then. Also she (jokingly) pointed out that perhaps I should avoid the mince pies over the holiday.... cheeky cow! I am wondering about one of those belly band thingys you can get to hide the fact that trousers dont do up.
MV - I didnt feel confident posting in here either.... but didnt feel I belonged in the TTC thread any more. The worries I am having are not the same worries that the lovely ladies over there are experiencing. Please keep posting here, I am equally over obsessing everything, I think this is normal.
This morning I thought I feel even less pregnant than I did a few days ago. My paranoia was fed by the following: I didnt need to get up for a wee during the night (I have every night since my bfp) The smell of the cats food didnt make me feel a bit sick (it did before) My boobs dont feel as big/sore, DH's coffee didnt smell weird like it did before. I seem to have quite a lot of energy and Im sure I felt more tired a few days ago. When I worked all this out I promptly bust into tears.... DH said..... see those hormones are working just fine dear!
Pregnancy hormones come and go in waves so I am sure I am just being over sensitive.
I also had cramping and bleeding about the time I would have expected AF and I too though it was all over before it had begun.
Sending reassuring hugs to MV and lao-cat we are all as crazy as each other.... and its perfectly normal to be that crazy. If at first you dont succeed, try, try again0 -
Update from me:
Went to GP this morning and he wants me to go straight to EPU for a scan because I have had reoccurant mc's. I wasn't expecting that at all, so am now on a bus to the hospital.
Dreading it as I have only bad memories of EPU
if it is viable they'll not see much more than a sac as he reckons I am just 5 weeks. He said once we know all is ok, he will refer me for ante natal care.
Wish me luck girls!

Wishing you LOTS of luck and thinking of you MV - sorry you have to go to EPU as I know it holds bad memories, but I am SO pleased you are being looked after and offered an early scan. Let us know how you get on.0 -
