Thank you everyone. It's weird I felt like something was wrong but thought maybe I was just being paranoid. Just desperate to get it over with now.

Lao cat I hope everything turns out to be fine, I wouldn't wish this on anyone.

Claire, just wanted to say I am so very sorry. I remember you from the ttc thread, sending you lots of hugs. Cxx
  • Claire, I am so so sorry to hear your news. I hope you and your OH have friends and family around to support you during this horrible time x

Lao_Cat, brown blood isn't necessarily a bad sign and it's fairly common in early pregnancy so please try not to panic. I'd recommend what Minimuffin said, and call your EPU or GP for advice though x

I spoke with my GP who advised it is likely nothing to worry about. She said if it continued to get an early scan once I hit six weeks (which is Saturday). I am tempted to book in for a scan anyway though, maybe they'd do it on Friday, have tried to call them. In Ireland so our system a bit different as early scans are mostly only available privately.

ETA booked in for the 27th of dec, so planning on just trying to relax about it now
  • Hi all!

I have been lurking for a few weeks now but was a frequent poster when I had my little boy back in 2010 and found you all to be a great support.

I need to talk to someone as we haven't told anyone as yet that I'm pregnant.

I went for my 12wk scan today and have just received the shock of my life...I'm expecting twins!!!!!

Of all the things the scanographer could of said that wasn't one of the scenarios I had ran through.

Currently in shock and don't know whether to smile or cry...jus really wasn't expected.

Claire...im so sorry to hear your news...sending you big hugs.

    Xx
Beautiful baby boy arrived 20th June 2010...Harry..weighing 7lb 4oz on fathers day :j
  • Just popping on quickly to say lao, try not to worry hon.

I don't know if you are still reading the ttc thread, but I had some brown and then light pink spotting over the weekend. Have only just got my BFP, and after 2 chemical pregnancies this year I was sure it was game over.

However have Googled wayyyy too much, and it does seem to be a fairly common thing to spot lightly in early pregnancy. It's only if there is a lot of pain/cramping, or the bleeding get's heavy and red-looking that you need to maybe worry..and even then, that can be normal too.

If the spotting has stopped, then I'd say that was a good sign, but hopefully a scan will put your mind at rest.

I am not quite ready to join this thread yet, but hopefully will be in the next week or so.

Congrats conventgirl on your twins! What amazing news!
Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,
You don't even take him seriously,
How am I going to get to heaven?,
When I'm just balanced so precariously..
  • Claire - I am so sorry honey, I dont know what to say, I hope someone is looking after you, sending hugs

Lao cat - stop panicking, it really doesnt help. I too have had brown blood when wiping and coupled with mild AF cramps, and I too have been very worried. When I told the docs last week he was so not bothered and said this is common in many pregnancies. Please try to relax a bit until you have seen the doctor.

Metranil Vavin - I saw you pop your head round the door there!!! Congratulations on the BFP, I have fingers, toes, legs, eyes, everything crossed for you.

Convent girl - congrats on twins.... twice as much fun!!

Oscar - congrats and welcome to the board

    Has anyone heard from Sparkles????
If at first you dont succeed, try, try again
