sHK - I had 2 early scans and they were both internal..luckily the one I had today was over belly, though the image was still really fuzzy, and the baby was standing on its head! A couple of coughs later he/she moved into the right position and the tech did all the measurements.
I wasn't in the best position to see the screen but DH said he saw the baby doing all sorts of kicking and moving and itching its head etc, lol. Baby looked sooo cute!
All ok with the nuchal measurements and brain devt normal, just had my blood test too for the combined test.
I did receive a letter from my booking appt blood test though, and it said it was nothing to cause undue concern and wasn't urgent, but that my results came back slightly abnormal. This worried me a bit! Anyone else had a letter like that from their midwife appt? I have a telephone appt for tues with the dr to discuss...We got rid of the kids. The cat was allergic.

abnormal sounds a bit odd. Not had a letter like that (in fact all my bloods seem not to go anywhere until the next midwife appointment when they phone for the results!!) but perhaps it's just that you're RH negative and there's a chance baby is positive? That's pretty common and I think it just means you need injections once or twice during pregnancy.0

Mogwai - glad to hear all ok at the scan and I hope the blood results are nothing to worry about (although I know 'not worrying' is easier said than done!).0

yeah i think it must be something like being RH negative - either that or I am anaemic, as I have been really breathless lately.
ANyway I am not worrying too much, at least all is ok with the baby, and that is the most important thing! We got rid of the kids. The cat was allergic.

Congratulations mogwait on a happy scan! :T
I am still waiting for mine! Anyone else having one next week? I am really nervous(I wish they weren't doing my blood test at the same time as thats doubled my nerves!)

I'm hoping mine will be next week but still waiting for a date, our post service is terrible and I'm so worried that I'll miss it0

Congrats for all the positive scan news :j
Hope the blood results are nothing to worry about mogwai.
IHateDida my scan is next week as well (Weds).
mrsj - I too have only vomited at home. I feel the same that I just hang on somehow when I'm out. On Thursday I was retching in our openplan office but I think I managed to disguise it by coughing after each retch
For those of you who have had scans and had the nuchal scan, how long after do you get the result?0 -

If it's that you're low risk, it took weeks in my case (2-3?) as they put it in the post. I believe if you come back high risk, they will phone you probably within 5 or so days (as long as it takes the blood tests to come back).
Pippa80 - thansk for asking about how long the test results back as I didn't know either (and good luck for your scan!)
Oh, I thought they told you there and then....*clueless*
I knew I would have to wait for blood tests but thought they could do their measurement thing while you were being scanned.
Clearly I am more clueless than I thought I was!!!:o0 -
