Hi again ladies - sorry for all of my posts, I just have about a million questions :o

I am so badly bloated does anybody have any recommendations of how I can beat the bloat?!

I can barely do up my trousers and am thinking I might need to buy some cheap bigger trousers from Primark to tide me over. Or maybe use the old hairband trick to extend them? (but that won't work with my work trousers which have hook and eye fastenings).

mrsj - hairband trick or bump band - which served me well in the early stages (in fact I'm wearing it today too at 35 weeks +). I've got a JojoMamanBebe one (free delivery!), worth having a look at. If you are going to buy maternity clothes do it early on to get most use out of them. In fact, I found Mothercare's clothes were too tight by the time I bought them (5 months) to wear!
I'm now that big that my trousers won't fall down of their own accord but the bump band is still useful to hide the gaping fly.

Well I am (unofficially) eight weeks today. My bloating has gone - hurrah! I can wear my jeans again - yay! It feels as though my boobs are getting bigger each day and I am getting a line underneath my belly button.

I have awful sickness but it passes once I have eaten - I have to eat little and often and take something wherever I go. Having said that, I have to starve myself for a blood test in the morning. I'm really dreading going there hungry because hunger is what sets it off.

I have two midwife appointments and my scan date. If I am honest, I have mixed feelings towards my scan date (22nd November). I want everything to be ok and for my little kidney bean (apparently my ickle embryo is the same size as one) is developing healthily but I can't help but feel that they might tell me something awful.

I am there with you - I am huge!(at only 7+1) - I bought some wonderful trousers from Yoursclothing (clothing for "bigger" ladies - I bought them online!) - they are such a godsend and were only £9 a pair - and look smart enough to work (I wear a tunic over them to disquise the jellybelly!). I can already rest a plate on my stomach when sitting down!!!! (I am hoping the size doesn't mean triplets or anything more and is instead wind/fluid!!!!:D)

Pleased to hear the bloating has gone Snozberry! Do you want some of mine???!! I feel the same as you - I keep preparing me and the OH for the worst (I am almost trying to kid myself that I'm not really pregnant so it won't hurt as much if something goes wrong) and he tells me to stop reading into things.

I had to make a fast exit out of Tescos tonight - haven't been sick but the smell of the cooked chicken aisle combined with the bakery, combined with cardboard boxes (!) made me heave. Left OH to finish shopping, pack and pay!!!!! (and he didn't grumble that much as I told him that it was his fault I was feeling like this - you can really play on it when you want can't you!!!:rotfl:).

Thanks ladies - I am working from home today so don't have to do up my jeans! Bliss! I think a bump band might be the way forward although I know it's not a bump, just a big load of air and water retention at the moment!

Oooohhhh no ta! Lol. I spent a small fortune on new clothes the other week because I couldn't wear anything comfortably. I'm happy to be back in my jeans even if it's for a short while.

I've started to get really emotional now. Crying over incredibly trivial things.

Had blood tests after dating scan showed very little going on, unfortunately they told me today it's almost certainly a failed pregnancy - ie only developed up to a point then stopped. Scan next week to confirm but looks like I'm leaving this thread for now. Feeling super-sad. Hope to be back again sometime x
