    Morning ladies :)
Just unlurking to recommend this book , which I've found really useful throughout my pregnancy, especially in the early weeks. It's pretty cheap as there are lots of used options on Amazon etc, or you could see if your local library has it in stock.

Hope all's going well for everyone, it seems like only a few weeks ago I was on this thread and now there's only 4 weeks to go!

helen - good luck for your scan today! hope it all goes really well, how exciting :)

anyname - sorry to hear about the bleeding, it's such a worry for you, but I really hope all is ok at the scan tomorrow

mogwai - wow, amazing to have seen the heart beat :) Hope you have an amazing holiday

fran-o - I have the Tommy's free book too (got it from Asda when I got some folic acid) and also find the NHS website useful. There is way too much information on the internet so I am trying to avoid believing anything and everything and just using NHS advice for now! Hopefully if all goes well and I get to 12 weeks then I'll buy a 'big' book too!

lazywife - good luck for your scan tomorrow!

wonder_girl - welcome to the thread!

I had a review with my boss yesterday and told a whopping lie (not my usual style..I like to keep things honest and open where possible). She asked if there was anything which might change and affect the business.... (read: are you going to have a baby?), so I said 'do you mean, am I going to have a baby??!!'. She looked a bit awkward and I said 'well I have to plan around it not happening, as I have a medical condition which makes it difficult for me to get pregnant'. Whilst this isn't untrue (PCOS), I neglected to mention that I actually AM pregnant :rotfl: WHY did I say that?? I have no idea. Could be an awkward conversation in a few weeks time....!!!

Still no real symptoms although my boobs are definitely bigger and I still have a cold. Still terrified it's all going to wrong, but trying to stay positive.
  • The doctors have finally confirmed. Yey! I need my flu jab on Monday and to see the midwife on Tuesday. Your all right about the whooping cough- my nurse got her wires crossed.
I've roughly worked out that I'll be due around the 10th of June- DH and my birthdays are both the 4th of June so we're taking bets on it arriving then.
had twenty minutes of dry heaving over the toilet this morning and I've told the boss so that she knows I'm not being usless by being off and scatter brained.
I don't often return to a thread I've posted on so.... if you want to ask me about anything I've written please pm me- I don't bite.
  • just really got back from scan
everything is fine, just gotta wait for results for downs.

ive been moved forward 1 day - edd 27 april.
    so i think she said 12 +4

the baby was sound a sleep didnt move, then right at the end, he/she woke up, had a great big stretch of the whole body , moved the arm which was making he/she look like it had a really big nose, which was up near the head, look really funny.

pictures were £5 each , 2 years ago i paid £3.50 each, big jump!!!

I know, I really do need to practice my innocent look!!!

Lol at unfettered boobs :rotfl:I'm lucky (?) in that I normally look like a 12 year old girl so for me the bigger boobs is a bonus :D

Also feeling quite sleepy. I'm reassured to hear you haven't got too many symptoms AND saw a heartbeat as I get worried that no symptoms means something's going wrong.

helen - yay for your good scan :j

I didn't really have any symptoms apart from sore boobs and bloating until I was about 8-9 weeks when the morning sickness really kicked in

Well, according to us, I will be seven weeks tomorrow and I am still bloated and shattered. I feel queasy and light headed in the mornings and after I eat at lunchtime. I need to have a nap most afternoon/evening.

I am having a few bloodtests (I can't remember all of them) next week, after we get back from a few days away. I'm hoping that it will be confirmed then. It should because I will be 8 weeks then.

It feels very strange being preggo. I'm off chocolate  and I only feel comfortable in dresses and clothes with elasticated waists.
  • Urgh, I'm so bloated!
I'm also very nervous about my scan tomorrow.
