Hi guys,

Just popping in to try and reassure some of you that cramping pains (really painful ones) can be totally normal and happen throughout the pregnancy! I have them EVERY day since about 6 weeks pg and yes they are scary but its just growing

Also, a bleed is not always a sign of a problem, but it is always a good idea to go to the EPU and get it checked out in order to re-assure yourself. I bled 3 times in the first 12 weeks (a few weeks apart) and had an early scan to make sure and saw the heartbeat so was less stressed

Hello

Just an update to say my scan was fine again this morning. Baby was lying better and so got a good photo, and measured at 12w+4d so it must have been a bit scrunched up yesterday!

Hope Flint's scan is going well, and the rest of those scheduled for this week of course

findingmyownway- amazing! can't believe the difference of 6 days

binkyboo- I was the same and now I have my date i'm nervous but sooooo excited and impatient, its now less than 2 weeks away :eek:

lazywife- yes! I'm always getting cramplike feelings, I know its not cramps as its more of a stabbing sensation but my MW said its just stretching and it'll only get worse

chonorla- why can't you have a home birth? I love the idea of one but I have family history of MASSIVE babies (usually 9-10lbs:eek:) so might not be possible. Mind you my OH would probably be stressing and trying to clean up the whole time, he's a bit like Monica fom friends

AFM I'm so impatient waiting for my scan!! I'm wishing the days away just now! OH wants to go shopping the day after my birthday (the end of this month) to start getting baby stuff providing all is well. He's so excited it's so sweet to watch!
I am mega tired again today, had a crunchie about half an hour ago though so waiting for the sugar buzz to kick in

Well hi everyone, I am one very happy daddy to be right now! Phew!

Any problems noted in last emergency scan have righted themselves, the pictures that we got and saw on screen were awesome, such detail already. The dates have been altered by a couple of days forward putting my wife at 12+5. After a bit of manoeuvring the baby around by raising the bed and asking my wife to jiggle about a bit the sonographer managed to measure the Nuchal Fold, which from what I've read is good at just 1.4mm, still need to wait for bloods but I'm hopeful.

One thing though they need to have a word with the cleaners I'm sure there was lots of dust in the air because my eyes were watering!! Lol:T:T Good luck to everyone else for their scans over the next few days.

That's the same as mine, 1.4mm. They told me it was 'low risk', as is my age, so not really worried at all about waiting for the letter.

Does the baby move at the 12 week scan? Did you go with full bladders?

yes 2b baby moves at 12 week scan mine curled up in a ball everytime they tried to measure him lol, its weird because you can see them moving but can't feel it x

Hi All,

Hope all the lovely ladies (and gent!) are keeping well. Finally getting over the lurgy, although daft cough still here!

Haven't been on here a huge amount as ive been out of the office a bit the last week or so and been quite busy when I've got home.

Got scan a week on Thursday, can't wait!

2b- the appt letter I received for the midwife booking in/scan didnt actually say about a scan or going in with a full bladder so I rang the hosiptal who said yes it was for the dating scan and to come with a full bladder. Uhhh why didn't you put that on the appt letter then?!

Met the midwife at 5 weeks but will be good to see them again and then start having more frequent appointments so it feels more real.

I'm getting crampy pains on and off still which are annoying but hopefully they are a good sign ?? sore [EMAIL="bo@@bs"]bo@@bs[/EMAIL] still!!
