dundeediva - thats the reason they won't allow me a home birth due to my previous chunky babies (9.6, 9.8 and 9.11 lbs) and they say there's a chance they may get stuck. (none of them have so far so not sure what that says about me...:rotfl: )

My anaphlaxia has no known trigger so I just carry an epipen and use that when needed. But along with my asthma its quite a dangerous combination for me and baby :( So another reason they won't let me give birth at home in case medical intervention is needed and I react badly. I have only ever had gas and air so they have no idea if I would react to pain relief either.

Never mind though, at least I can leave the mess in the hospital!! And OH is not good in an emergency anyway!

Does the baby move at the 12 week scan? Did you go with full bladders?

Yes it kicks it's legs and jumps around a bit. I thought it was the sonographer moving the wand at first, but then realised it wasn't!

I drank about 400ml water on way to hosp. Bladder didn't feel overly full but pics are clear. Don't go desperate for a wee - it takes a while and they press quite hard!

i had no pain relif as i was in a hospital whcih only does gas and air and pethodine but quick hour labour so didnt have time

cant wait till i hear something from the midwife time or scan appointment to come though door.

  • Welcome tinkwings!

Just been lurking on the TTC thread and there is a glut of BFPs on there so we should be getting lots of new members shortly :-)

I know I should have left this thread but I don't think I want to! lol
  • i've been naughty and bought something! hopefully i have got the urge out of the way and i can stop now until i know everything is ok at the scan. To be fair it was a bargain so i shall just bag it up, stick it in the loft and forget about it until a lot nearer the time i need it!

I just told work. I was so nervous!

I bought a second hand moses basket, normal stand and rocking stand for £10 it this one http://www.clair-de-lune.co.uk/buy/soft-cotton-waffle-palm-moses-basket_779419657.htm

so quite a bargain i also got a bath seat for £2 and a travel size playmat for £3 from the same seller I added all the new costs up and it would have been £150 so too much of a bargain for me to say no to!

Thankfully my boss is my husband so no need to worry about telling him! I did sneak my purchases into the house this morning hoping the neighbours wouldn't notice though!

I remember last time having to tell work very early cos i had an awful time with bleeding and morning sickness so needed lots of time off, it was nervewracking though so i know how you feel!
