Yay Tinkwinks!!!! So pleased for you!! It's great to see ladies from the TTC thread
2a- what was the reaction? I've told my direct line manager and his manager knows too, as well as another couple of people but no one else knows in my work yet! My boss was amazing though, I hope your was!!
binky- thats some great finds! I'm jealous, i'm dying to buy stuff but am trying to hold off until the scan (not that im wary or anything, i'm just trying to wait for some reason lol). We are painting the nursery though, the skirting and doors are getting done too and because it's gloss paint it smells to high heavens so i wanted that done asap to make sure there is no risidual (SP?) smell when LO arrives!
fmow- will your work get someone in to cover your maternity leave? Also I was thinking, we said before that no one ever uses the 12-24 week thread as its so quiet but it wouldnt be quiet with us lot in it would it lol? Maybe be worth posting in there at some point? I would post in there if us lot all moved there- the big thread is mega scary, birth stories etc lol
AFM all good tody, bit of nausea and have an aversion (sp) to cheese today and since i love it thats a bit of a pain!! Ill just have to eat chocolate insteadSaving money like a trouper...0 -
I will definitely move and start posting on 12-24 weeks when my time comes I think it feels less scary than moving to the main thread!0

helen4891 "just reading about you have chunky babys and im actually pooping myself thinking about things
my last baby was 9'3 and got sever shoulder dysteria( hope thats spelt right)
im glad i was in hospital as you need a lot of midwifes i had 4 and my partner holding me down still., i kick one of the midwifes in the face and she had blood on her face.
i had no pain relif as i was in a hospital whcih only does gas and air and pethodine but quick hour labour so didnt have time
"
Ha poor midwife, I needed a ventouse with the first put had no pain relief other than gas and air (my mum said I was like the exorcist when they tried to take it off me.....:o) and thankfully didn't boot anyone :rotfl: The other 2 came out with no help at all! Fingers crossed for us both with the next ones!!
helen4891 "i know this is my 3rd pregnancy but i look around 4 months pregnant already. my sister guessed the other day and i havent told ne one..
"
This is my fourth pregnant and I am looking about 4 months pregnant too. I guess it just shows more with the more babies you have had. Am sure people would have started noticing in work too, but I have given my notice in and am leaving tomorrow so the only way they know is if I decide to pop back to say hello!
For the first time in my life I am going to be a stay at home mum - am quite scared and quite excited! I am starting my Masters but will be home most of the time. Decided 3 kids and pregnancy, working and a Masters would have probably tipped me over the edge!
I haven't bought anything yet like some of you very organised ladies, but have been given a Sleepy wrap baby sling and Avent steriliser. Was quite excited but a little confused on how on earth you get a newborn baby in the sling while wearing it! May take a little practice! :rotfl:0 -

Yay lemon!!!! congrats!!!!!!
I definitely plan on using the 12-24 thread, I have already bookmarked it
As for work, I told HR and our MD (we're a smalish company of about 100) - I started only in April myself, but they were lovely, really understanding and congratulated me. With HR we discussed the option of my Assistant stepping into my shoes during Maternity - its all a long way off, but I'm happy so far with what has been discussed! Obviously I've not committed to anything either.
I also felt that if things went badly tomorrow (praying and hoping not the case) that they would be understanding, which I think they will be.
Extra super nervous re tomorrow now *bites nails*Baby 2b born March 2013! :j:j:j0 -
