Really sorry to read this mrsj28, I've been keeping my eye on the forum today for news from findingmyownway. I sincerely hope you are back on here soon, stay healthy.0

I'm back with good news :j
EPU were great this morning, got me in for a scan within an hour of calling them and all is fine. Baby measuring 11+6 which is perfect, all seems happy, we saw the heart beating and baby was bouncing around the screen.
No visible pools of blood or anything to explain the bleeding so they said it probably came from lower down (cervix?). She scanned for ages looking for anything suspicious but couldnt find anything. Also checked my ovaries which are healthy apparently.
HUGE sigh of relief from sunny Yorkshire!
Back tomorrow for the nuchal scan and hopefully some piccies
Thanks for all your messages, the support around here really is lovely.0 -
Hi ladies
Unfortunately a very short stay for me here. I started bleeding last night and a miscarriage was confirmed at EPU this morning.
Hope it won't be too long before I'm back here again. In the meantime wishing you all very healthy and happy pregnancies.

Absolutely brilliant news.... Did you read my reply yesterday evening?
We too are booked in at 1.30 tomorrow for the combined dating and Nuchal scan. :T0 -
Thanks Flint. Yes I did see your message. Your wife's experience sounds much worse than mine to be fair - I was reassured by the bleeding slowing so dramatically over the weekend, but still very worrying. Fingers crossed it doesn't happen again to either of us!0

findingmyownway - so relieved for you and glad they listened to you
When I bled heavily with my first (on a Friday at 4pm), they made me stay in hospital till they could scan me Monday morning! Roll on the next scan!!!
Had my booking in appointment this morning and its a definite thumbs down for the home birth I so desperately wanted
Due to 3 previous large babies (all over 9 and a half pound) - I am 5 ft 3, my super duper fast labours and my anaphylaxia (first attack last October) - I will be placed firmly in the hospital 2 weeks before my due date and induced
I had hoped for a home birth with my 3rd but due to his size had to be induced 2 weeks early as they were estimating a 11lb er if I had gone to term.
Never mind, they know best and at least I will be prepared for the arrival!!0 -
samii11 - On the mattress issue I would say it would be fine to use again.
My last mattress I used for my last 2 as they were 16 months apart. My opinion is I know it is clean and well looked after and it wasn't a cheap one so hadn't sagged. It still looked brand new after both had used it in a cot bed! In fact I gave it to my friend for a spare at her Mum and Dad's and she still uses it!
We had decided, at that time, that 3 children was enough, so I will now have to purchase another one after generously giving away absolutely "everything" baby related ! :rotfl:0
