Emily, of course I will take you off if you want, but please don't give up hope and see your GP, brown blood means old blood which isn't always a bad thing, so I have read.

    Thinking of you xx

    Evening ladies!

Hope everyone's weekend is going well, I've been REALLY naughty today and me and OH have painted the spare room/nursery. It badly needed to be done, it just so happens we've now painted it pale yellow instead of magnolia :).

I am more tired today than usual too but that might me all the painting. New thing though, I now can't stand ANY raw meat. Whether its chicken or mince or beef or anything :( doesn't sound so bad but I'm always cooking, just have to make cookies instead :)

Lozzy congrats on the scan/team blue!! I can't wait to get to that stage!

2b I love the mom/mummy thing, nice way to keep it simple! Have your houseguests gone now?

Chonorla I hear you with the retching thing!! It's harder than I thought to hide the news, I thought it would be just excitement and me dying to tell everyone at this stage! I've been off a total of 7 days out of 10 in the last 2 weeks which isn't good, everyone will have guessed in my team by now, I'm NEVER off sick and when I am in I'm a weird shade of green just now :)

Emily I really really hope everything is ok! I have everything crossed for you xx

    evening everyone,

i haven't posted much this week because there has been nothing to report i'm feeling distinctly average :( no sickness, no hunger, no sore boobs. Got my fingers crossed for some symptoms next week to reassure me or i'll be starting to wonder what's going on! I have read that sickness tends to hit in the sixth week so we shall see what happens.
Hope everyone is as well as can be :)

Have spent the last 2 days in work secretly wretching with everyone telling me I look tired and ill. Fingers crossed I don't have a whole pregnancy of this again. :(

I know that feeling have been hiding illness in work for a few weeks, Luckily my best friend also works there and knows, although even she suggested i go home coz i looked really ill.

As the title says, can I join you please :-)

In the last week I have found out I am pregnant, but its not quite sinking in yet :).

I live overseas and went to the local private hospital with better half yesterday just to see what happens now and was given a scan there and then. Doctor confirmed that I am indeed 'with child' and I was dated at 5 weeks, 5 days. Also had blood taken and had to give urine sample.

We're to go back in about 10 days for blood and urine results and also for another scan where we should be able to see the heartbeat and she'll check for twins as they run in the family . She said there is only one sac right now, but there is still time for it to split. I live somewhere where (I think) scans every 3 weeks are the norm.

A bit about me/us ... we're both 36, this will be a first child for both of us. I came off the pill just 2 months ago so am shocked its happened so quickly. Fingers crossed all will go smoothly.

Not sure what else to post for now :o, but thanks for reading.

  • Welcome and congratulations Mrs MM.

How has everyone else coped with continuing exercise regimes? Previously I was very active (bootcamps, cycling, running - i did london marathon this year) but havent done much over the last few weeks.

I just went out for a little run and OMG it was hard work. Does anyone else run?
