    Sooo then, scan results...

Saw the sac and a little kidney bean inside. Could see and hear the heartbeat (152bpm). Only measuring 7+3 though, which means I must have ovulated really late as should be 10+5 according to LMP. The sonographer said everything looked fine though so think I should be happy!

ETA: the clearblue digi results would put me at 7 1/2 weeks too (did 3 tests each a week apart and they went up from 1-2 to 2-3 to 3+) so that's reassuring, as they didn't add up to right dates from period either.

I think measurements under 12 weeks can be off, so I wouldnt completely worry/go by that fmow! But.... yey for seeing bubs!

I'm home, on my squishy sofa, with trashy tv and here I shall stay.

I have sent DW out with our houseguests. I feel absolutely DREADFUL. Boobs are sore, I am absolutely shattered, my old back problem has reared it's ugly head (they warned me it would get worse with pregnancy), I'm grumpy and nauseous. Does this stage go on for ages - please someone tell me it gets better/goes away?! Id just like some more energy!

I am the same tonight 2b! I can't wait to crawl into bed :D

Is anyone else hyper sensitive at the moment? I just spoke to my friend on the phone and she has been busy working at the stables all day and was just telling me what she's been doing and I got upset, because I thought she was complaining that I hadn't helped her (!) - she wasn't!
She might have asked me to help previously, but she seems to think I am incapable because I am pregnant. Maybe that's why I am feeling like this. I just feel really sad and a bit like it's an end of an era with us both with the horses :(
    Get a grip, Millie!!

    Yes exactly the same Millie!

Also - our new houseguests asked my wife if I was angry/upset with them (they know I am pregnant, we had to tell them). I'm totally not, but I must be coming across as such a grumpy mare.

Ironically, this is the time when I desperately want a seat on the train on the way home, but don't feel I can wear the baby on board badge until I get to 12 weeks.

Millie - it's not the end though, right? It's just a little break, isnt it?

But I am so hyper sensitive, I am kind of avoiding people at the moment! x

Sorry you are going through it too, but I am pleased that it is not just me (if that makes sense :) ) I think maybe it's hit me that things will never be the same again and that friendships and pastimes are going to change and part of me wants everything to just stay the same, but with a baby. My wise old therapist would say that I am grieving for the past and that it's something that I need to work through before I embrace the future.

We used to spend hours and hours with the horses, just chatting and being with them, but friend is winding down to horsey retirement and things are going to change with me, so I'm not sure what the future holds and I feel sad about this. I would very much like baba to grow up around horses (should s/he choose to), but it won't be the same, I know that.

I think the last few weeks have been all happy, happy, happy and I am still utterly thrilled, but I think it's hit me what a huge change this is going to be and I don't know what the future "looks like", if that makes sense? x

I do know how you feel, and I think it's only natural to grieve for the past and feel anxious (Mine comes out through my crazy dreams!!)

Try to look at it from a different perspective, how amazing your friendship could be on another level, and what it will be like to teach your son/daughter to ride. What an AMAZING gift!

The unknown is scary though, so don't give yourself a hard time for feeling worried, its only natural. We definitely need to be kind to ourselves right now xx

Aww, thanks lovely :) I think it is the unknown that is scaring me and I tend to catastrophise and think it's all going to be awful..shutting out the potential for things to be just ok :)

I do need to be kinder to myself, I'm not very good at that! x

    Evening ladies!!

2b and Millie, I am soooooo ridiculously sensitive ATM, so much so that I bawled my eyes out today at Jeremy Kyle!!! Seriously it wasn't even a sad story but I couldn't control it! I'm so glad I've been off on holiday or the past week but I'm dreading going to work on Monday, I don't know how I will manage to keep my emotions user control! To make it worse I work in a call centre where I got moaned at most of the day, I'll either cry or have a screaming match lol! At least I'll keep my colleagues entertained :).

Glad to hear the scan went well, I can't wait til mine! I have decided im telling my best friend this weekend, I can't keep it from her any longer! It's not gonna be a surprise, she knew we were ttc but I can't keep a secret from her lol!

I have eaten like a pig all day and watched loads of tv so away to have a bath and relax before another hectic weekend begins!

Have a good Friday night all x

Oh nooo dundeediva! If I call a call centre, I'll try to remember not ot be a stroppy mare, in case it's you!! I hope everyone is nice to you next week!

Enjoy telling your best friend, I enjoyed telling two of mine (even though I personally felt like I couldn't really celebrate it until we get to 12 weeks...)

How will you tell her? I told one of mine, as we were at a group lunch, I was sitting opposite her and I texted her, I saw her read it - but she couldn't say anything because it was a group event!! Mean or what!! heh!

I'm avoiding baths at the moment, I think I read somewhere you can only have them at a certain temp when pregnant, but I haven't read enough about it, so Im sticking to boring showers. I miss baths though!

Evening all. Had my midwife appointment today. She was lovely. Asked me if I had chosen which hospital I wanted to give birth in, whether I had thought about the various tests offered, took my blood pressure etc etc. She was really nice and as I saw her at my GP's I am hoping I will see her every time I am there.

Millie - My daughter and son were both around the horse from pretty much day one. Things did change but I was still able to enjoy my horse and horsey friends with a pram in tow. It just took more planning - ie no last minute hacks to the beach as I needed to make sure OH would be able to have the baby etc. Sadly despite being around horses all their life neither have taken more than a fleeting interest in horses. My last mare was pts 2 years ago so I am horseless for the first time in my life. Looking forward to getting back to riding next summer though. xx
