Millie - My daughter and son were both around the horse from pretty much day one. Things did change but I was still able to enjoy my horse and horsey friends with a pram in tow. It just took more planning - ie no last minute hacks to the beach as I needed to make sure OH would be able to have the baby etc. Sadly despite being around horses all their life neither have taken more than a fleeting interest in horses. My last mare was pts 2 years ago so I am horseless for the first time in my life. Looking forward to getting back to riding next summer though. xx

Aww, thank you. I know I am imagining the worst case scenario and I don't think it helped seeing my friend with her baby the other day and her being unable to leave the house at the moment as baba is not feeding and she is having to express milk all the time! I tend to think that everything has to be forever, when in reality, it's only for a short time :D

Sid_Wolf - I have had twinges and a few odd mild crampy and stretchy pains and the midwife assures me that this is normal, but you could always call your GP if you are concerned

Right, speaking of horses, they're not going to muck themselves out....I'm off :)

Hey Sid, welcome btw! I've had weird stretchy feelings that are similar to period pains without being painful if that makes sense. My biggest issue (pardon the pun) is my b00bs! Honestly I can't move some days! Mind you the tiredness is quite bad just now, dreading doing 40 hour weeks for the next 32 weeks!!x

I am o negative, i think we are quite a rare bunch! :D
I didn't have any extra appointments or tests in my last pg though. Just anti-d injections which were nothing to write home about. I did have 2 bleeds in my last pg, both my own fault though, due to sex at 14 weeks and 37 weeks and so I had to have anti-d on both those occasions too, as well as the usual ones. This time round we are doing our best to avoid sex altogether just to avoid the hassle of having to get anti-d injections if i bleed afterwards. It's going to be a long 7 months ahead :rotfl:
Have they said what the extra tests and appointments are actually for?

Hi Ellie, I think the extra appointments will just be to give you injections to prevent your body reacting to the baby if it's positive. I don't think you need too many either, I'm surprised you'll get an extra appt, on my list it's just down as an extra at 28 week appt for ladies who are negative (I'm A+ though so don't know personally). So shouldn't be anything to worry about :)

Ugh. The tearyness and irrationality has peaked today (better bloody had be the peak anyhow). I had some bad news this morning, followed by someone being so kind, then MIL has just been an utter witch (nothing new for her).
So my poor, lovely therapist has just got it in the neck......Thankfully the woman is a saint and has managed to calm me...for now!

    Damn hormones, tiredness and sickness!

Going to try to switch off for a bit and make some jewellery and put it on my friend's charity page on Facebook to sell. I figure that a good way out of doom and gloom is to reach out and so something nice for someone
