Hi,
Wonder if I could join the thread please? I've just got home after seeing the nurse and she's confirmed that I'm pregnant! I just had to tell someone, I can't get hold of hubby and I'm only 4 weeks (ish) so I don't want to get the families hopes up but I'm so excited, scared, shaking, crying - you name it! Its not my first, I have a 10yo boy and I've had several early stage losses, my nerves are shot though trying to remember everything I'm supposed to do and not do! I'm seeing the doctor tomorrow evening to get a mw referral, not sure how long that takes down here.
Feel like I should just sit down and not move!!
Thanks girlsjust had to get it out! xxx

Congrats WInnie The Pooh :j
Fortunately, all we are supposed to do as far as I can tell is not exert ourselves too much and try to eat cake. I think I'm ok with that.
Seriously though, this should have all the info you're looking for.

Hi girlies. Congrats Winnie!!
I'm struggling to concentrate on anything today - I seem to have a real focus on all things baby but nothing else! Ooops!
DH and I have been lucky again as another friend has asked us which bits we'd like because they have tons of baby bits that we can borrow. I really must get a list sorted out because I'm not really sure what we do and don't want. It's really hard to know which bits will be useful and which bits will be clutter. I'm sure there'll be some bits that we'll want to buy new but I'm not sure at the mo. I think they'll be dropping stuff off over the weekend so I think I'll do a list of what they drop off and then stick it in the loft for now because there's still another 6 months to go.
I hope you're all having a good week so far.0 -
Thanks everyone

Wow, this thread has moved so quickly th elast couple of days!
Congratulations Winnie in Pooh! Great news.Morning all, have had myself in a right panic all night. Woke up about 2am with cramping, was convinced I was going to lose baby. Kept going to the toilet expecting to be bleeding but nothing. Got myself all worked up to the point where OH rang NHS direct - said it just sounds like everything is moving and stretching and as long as there is no bleeding or discharge everything sounds ok.
I think it was just a combination of hormones being all over the place and tiredness that made me get so worked up about it
Day off work today so just having a chill out day.
Hope everyone else is ok today!
Flower08 - I know exactly how you feel. I have been having dull ache over the last few days and got myself really worked up too. Ended up going to a walk in centre and the nurse I saw wasn't concerned at all, as long as I wasn't bleeding, in agonising pain, there wasn't lots of discharge etc. Have managed to calm myself down a bit since then.
Chatting to the girls on here really does help me. I feel it's good to know that others are in the same boat, and who can help you through, especailly when you can't tell anyone except OH in the real world yet!!!We told our parents last weekend as it was my mum's birthday and this will be her first grandchild so i couldn't face not telling her on her birthday!
Right now on the nasty stuff...anyone else bunged up, and not teh nose i mean! I reckon it's the supplements for the folic acid but no matter how much fruit and veg i eat nothing is moving down there! Starting to feel really bloated! Any suggestions? Is it normal?
Ecoelle - it's my Mum's birthday 2 weeks on Saturday and so we're going having to tell the family that day as they'll be cracking open the champers and it'll stand out a mile if I say i'm driving (we're staying at their's :rotfl:) Going to be a lovely birthday, hoping everything goes smoothly of course. I will be 9 weeks by then (officially but I think it'll more like 7.5 weeks going by OV date).
As for being bunged up, count me as a buddy in that one, it's a nightmare! And I think it's what's causing a lot of the discomfort I've been having. As long as everything's ok I don't mind so much, but it is bl**dy uncomfortable!!
Hope you've all had a good day and are feeling positive girls.
Take care x0 -
Hi Marie
We have the same last period date
i was at the doctor today and all they did was fill in a form to refer me to the hospital - they didn't even do a test there which i was surprised about.
Can't wait just to see that everything is ok would be great to have a wee peek
hope your keeping well :jHi All
Got room for another one? Have done a test (postitive) and according to the oracle that is the internet since my last period was 27 Dec I should now be 5 weeks pregnant. Going to the Dr tomorrow but my friend (the only person I have told in the *real* world) says not to expect too much and that all the Dr will do is refer me to the hospital.....Comp Wins 2011 : Cant wait to start listing everything:j:j:j0
