  • Brilliant, thank for the info guys. My friend has just announced in work that she is 13 weeks so we will be off at the same time next week. So glad I can share the experience with someone I know well!

Also, are any of you consultant led? I have a bowel disease called Ulcerative Colitis which means I will probably have to be consultant led. What does that involve?

Must make a note of things I need to ask the midwife at the appt next tuesday. What does she go over in the appt?
  • Tattoo, Yeah, I did the cb digi test on tuesday morning and it said 2-3 weeks so i think Im more 5 and half weeks at the mo!God it's going to drag until the scan!

    How far along are you?

if you look at this link, at the bottom of the page, it says if you get 2-3 weeks if actually means you are 4-5 weeks

The conception indicator on the Clearblue isn't 100% accurate though. The only way they can tell exactly how far gone you are is from a scan.

Abby I'm consultant and midwife led. Nothing to worry about you just get a few extra appointments. x

  • cheers for the link, I'm not as far on than i thought :(

How are you feeling? have you had much sickness?

I hope all is well at the scan. Exciting times!

So the scan is usually between 10-12 weeks?

ikkle-Pleased to hear that being consultant led isnt too daunting.

Well the midwife has been and gone and everything was fine, but I need to be consultant led as I have CFS and a history of depression. She did say the consultant contact should be minimal though as I manage both conditions well. I was also comforted to learn that consultant led doesn't necessarily mean lack of choices re birthing, as that is what GP had hinted at.

It feels even more real now. Off to collect my bounty pack later, any idea what's normally in them?

I think the first one was a booklet and some leaflets. The second one has a pampers nappy and 8 pampers wipes in, some breast pads, some stretch mark scream samples, and more leaflets, they vary by date though x

There where samples and vouchers and a lot of adverts and info in mine from what I remember.

I'm just waiting for my 1st scan and trying to drink a litre of juice, its not going well.

My 2nd one didn't have breast pads or stretch mark cream, I got a tiny Sudocream and some Fairy non-bio instead I think.
