Well that's good news that all is good with one healthy bean Tinksy.

Countrybum - I wouldn't be going too long without water without calling the doctor.

Thanks for all the advice re maternity clothes. (Littlemoog - yes we are in the same area, I have moved to nearer Rushden now but am Bedford born and bread - wonder if we'll ever come across each other without knowing we are Littlemoog and Zcrat41)!!

those sayign I won't need a size up - I already do! My skinny size 10/12 clothes don't fit and I'm in my "fat" 12/14 already. The only thing that has sorted my nausea is eating so it is more podge than baby! I also eat when I'm tired which obviously hasn't been a good thing in the last 11 weeks. Just as an e.g though my bust has gone up by 3 sizes already!

I'm really not a fan of internet shopping - I had some jeans delivered from next the other day and just looked awful. I much prefer trying stuff on. I know I probably don't need proper maternity kit yet either it's just with the weather the way it is It'll be November at this rate before I get a chance to go shopping again.

    hey ladies

A good scan update for you all, I had one at 7 weeks yesterday and baby is measuring fine with a nice strong heartbeat. Unfortunately it looks like it was a twin pregnancy and twin 2 didn't make it past 5 weeks :(

But I have to be happy with one healthy bean, next step is getting my 12 week date and then the scan its self.

    xxxx

Hugs for the twin but yay for the healthy bean... what do they do aboout the twin 2? will they remove it or does it come out by itself or stay in there? Are you to expect a bleed as a result? x

Alot of it is bloating in the first 12 weeks though hun... we all mean though that you will prob need a 10/12 in maternity clothes :) thats why your 10/12 normal clothes dont fit x

I am off up to Asda tonight to see if I can get longer tops. None of my trousers fit me anymore and I having to wear the belly belt and piece of material as a filler. I only have one top long enough to cover my trousers so an emergency shopping session tonight.

I had my second early pregnany scan last night and saw my little miracles heart beat ticking away still and it even did a little move.

They have moved my due date to about 17th February 2013. My gestational date is 10 weeks 1 day , but my fetal date is 9 weeks 2 days. I had a look online and it appears that providing it is no more than two weeks out things are fine.

When I have my twelve week scan we will hopefully know the dates a bit better. I still haven't heard anything from the midwife yet, I rang up my doctors' surgery today and she said the midwife is really, really busy and will get back to me and doesn't know when. My referral went off to the consultant last Wednesday and I have to chase that up if I don't get anything in the post tomorrow.

I have booked myself it for a 12 week combined nuchal scan and blood test for 9th August. I can't wait for the midwife to sort herself out otherwise by the time I see her and she arranges a scan I will be over the time limit for the nuchal test. Hence why I have booked privately.

I think the midwife will sort herself out in time for the scan. I was getting edgy as well but I think they sorted my scan date at the booking in visit. The scan places seem to have free slots as I think most people are on short notice for them (the paperwork I got for the booking in visit gave me the option to pick my booking in time online, but then said you'll be booked in for the scan at the appointment 'if you need it' which I thought was a bit blunt!). In my case I had exactly 2 weeks between my first midwife appointment and my scan.

dizsie, a friend of mine had the same and apparently your body just reabsorbs it (or so she was told?). Bit bizarre really if it can do that for a twin pregnancy why not for a single miscarriage?

Dizsie, yes, I have checked and it is the RRP £35 one. So was an absolute bargain! I never get bargains like that :)
