Yes tattoo, aforementioned friend did and she highly recommends it. They didn't realise quite how far along she was at one point, because she was so calm. I'm definitely going to look into it :)

Well. i have announced my pregnancy last night in facebook of course in secret code in spanish... all my lovely friends replied, but one was so rude i felt annoyed, she congratulated me then asked if it was a surprise or planned ? i know she didnt mean it that way but i felt it was way too personal to ask that... anyway my english friends picked up on the very long thread and congratulated me aswell by private messages. It feels good.

Health front, i did not sleep last night at all, i am not hungry and feel very sicky, still headaches and ears completely blocked, but still a bit better than before.

    Hi ladies

2b, I think that is the most current and it would just be a case of adding 6days on to everyone, that's the thing with having a list on this thread, no one is here for long enough to keep updating it so it always needs someone taking it on.

I had my scan today and am bang on date so 12+5, it's very real now!! Bubs not co-operating at first so they sent me upstairs for my next appointment then came back down to scanning dept for another try, bean had woken up by then and jumping about!! All looking good, they are planning to scan at 20, 24 & 32 weeks as I have a (very minor) heart thing. It was hardly mentioned in my first pregnancy but my younger sister had to have a pacemaker fitted last year for a different heart thing and that's made them take things a bit more seriously this time. One scan will be a detailed fetal cardio scan so looks like they are err-ing on the side of caution with congenital issues. It means more of seeing baby though so yay!!

There were also a couple of minutes that because of the way baby was lying initially it was hard for the scan dude to confirm just a singleton pregnancy, he finally did then we went upstairs and when we were called the mw said "ok, so you're here for the twin clinic"'cue mild panic but her receptionist had put he notes in the wrong pile or something. Twins would be very cute and exciting news once you'd got your head round it but phew, just one baby for me!!

Does this mean I have to go the scary big thread now?!!

I will be continuing to stalk this thread so good luck to everyone!!!

    Afternoon all

I had booking in appt with midwife this morning. It was all very underwhelming, we basically filled a load of paperwork in and she told me to look on the internet for all the other info i needed!! It does mean I'll get a scan date through the post though :j

Glad you're feeling a lot better Morocha. That's a bit of a random thing for your friend to say I think - esp on FB - I might say it to someone under 21 who got pg but only if family/good friend and in private.

MInted - glad your scan went well!!

I'm very jealous of all these scan ladies. I'm 11 + 3 now and have mine a week today. I really can't wait. Well, I can cos I'll have to but it's so hard! I'm not especially busy at work either so it's hard to stop myself thinking about baby stuff.

In fact, that's a lie, I haven't stopped myself at all. This morning I decided I'm going to have 3 and call them Boris, Horatio and Hermione. Seriously love those names.

Think DH would divorce me tho!

I'm trying hypno-birthing as I am very limited as to pain relief that I can have (no epidural/c-section unless planned long enough in advance to stop my medication) I asked on the newborn to 1 year thread yesterday and one of the ladies recommended that book that you have just mentioned so I've ordered it. You can also look into classes locally to you, similar to antenatal classes but related purely to the hypno-birthing techniques x
