Morocha please dont stress about things, Remember you arnt pregnant for long, the house wont fall apart for being untidy/mucky for a bit, mine never has lol!
As for DH taking your DD to school it will be a nice change for her, my DD loves it when the dad picks her up and drops her off, i think she gets sick of the sight of me doing it lol.
How lovely getting your scan tomorrow, i think it wont sink in for me untill i see a lovely little grey blob on the monitor.
Hi 2b it sounds like your stressing about being stressed i can understand your worries as you have had quite a journey reading your last few posts. Have you tried writing things down? when i cant sleep i jot down things in the dark on a old fashioned pad and paper, it can be quite amusing to read in the morning!, i`m sure all will go well and please try and take some time to calm down and relax.0 -
Just found myself on the second page when I was pregnant with my son and I'm back again
I'll be 5 weeks tomorrow, EDD 14th March 2013. Hoping for an easy going pregnancy this time round (has PPROM and Oligohydramnios with my son first time round). So hello everyone hope we're all feeling nice and sick
Hi
My EDD is 15th March 2012. Have you rung the doctors yet? I havent. Do I need an appointment with a doctor or a midwife?0 -
Hiyaaaa Ikmc01 welcome
I rang my doctors and asked, i was told i first has to see the doc for him to confirm it and then after i had seen him i could make one with the midwife, your docs could be totally different tho0 -
Morning all,
Off to the docs today to confirm my pregnancy. Was super tired last night, went to bed at 9pm, up to wee at 1am, and couldnt get back to sleep for another couple of hours - damn insomnia
Still feeling ever so worried though - whereas I felt a bit dizzy and nauseous yesterday, feel nothing at all today - not pregnant in the slightest, and my HPT isn't getting darker, where as I feel it should.
Oh I am just one big stress bucket. I know I need to relax, but actually doing that is proving very difficult!
Hope everyone is having a good Thursday!
xx
Hi 2b, nice to see you over hereI suffered from insomnia quite a bit from early on in my first trimester, and I never have before. Mostly after getting up to pee in the night as I’ve never been as thirsty as I was in the first 8 weeks or so! I figured it was either a symptom or I was so excited that once I woke up my brain was just overactive with planning etc! Annoying though, especially when you know you’ll be tired all day, feel tired, and just lie there wide awake! Grr!
It wore off eventually, and now it would take a rocket to wake me up. or the baby kicking me in the bladder :rotfl:Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -

It probably depends on who provides the services in your area. I went to my GP surgery to make an appointment and the receptionist said I'd need to see the doctor, saw the doctor (useless waste of an appointment!) who referred me to the midwife team at the hospital. The midwife team only take referrals so even though the GP appointment was a waste of time, it had to happen. My GP surgery has no midwives though, if yours does it could be different!0 -
2b, I hope the GP can put your mind at rest today. Please let us know how it goes xx0

Thank you, thank you, thank you ladies!
I feel very reassured, and I went to visit a friend after the GP, who has a 6 month old, and she also said pretty much what you have been saying. I am going to try to relax and enjoy now!! I did like the idea about writing though - although must admit, I do use this forum as a way to vent/talk out loud about things!
My GP appointment was pretty uneventfulgg (although I wasn't expecting party streamers and balloons!).
She said congratulations and booked me in for an appointment with the midwife on the 8th August and that a letter would come for a dating scan. Is that it? I asked her about some form that would entitle me to free prescriptions, but she thinks I cant have it til after the scan. Is that right? Also my friend said at her first GP appt, they talked about which hospital she wanted to go to, that wasn't mentioned to me?

Ohhh - and is there a list floating around anywhere, or can anybody recommend a link for the things you aren't supposed to eat during pregnancy, pretty please!

Pleased it went ok
I didn't ask about the free prescriptions and dental treatment, will try to remember to ask on Monday when I go.
I think the antenatal care differs from area to area. My first antenatal appt is with the GP on Monday, when I will be 8 weeks and she is then going to sort out the GP and midwife referral. GP did mention hospitals, but friend who is (over) due any day now said you don't have to confirm hospital for birthing until nearer the time, so don't be rushed into any decisions

Thanks Millie!
Oh that's a very useful link - I've signed up to their email service and signed DW up too! heh!
I think my friend was telling me about the making a decision on a hospital thing, as depending on the hospital you go to, you would see a different midwife, wouldn't you?! I guess I will wait until the 8th, patiently! well as patiently as we can all manage to understand!
x
Instead of hospital, I originally wrote hotel. haha, no clue!
has anybody here told anybody else other than their husbands/wives/partners/donors?!Baby 2b born March 2013! :j:j:j0
